Here is another Angry Joe speaking out. The fact that many angry joe's from the right are suddenly backing Newt does give me pause and some worry. I just can't stomach the guy and his big government lovefest. I am letting the White House race play out in its normal American Idol way and instead focusing on the elections in my state and who gets sent to Washington. It is good to hear form other angry joes, but be careful where you channel that anger.

A Generation Losing Hope: The Shattering of the American Dream

It is a very sad commentary on America, but an expected one. The current generation that is in charge of this mess has no idea how to solve the problems that it created and doesn't understand why the next generation doesn't think the way they do. If I were a young person starting out I would agree with the students evaluation because it is dead on. The government has squandered the greatest national resource for the almighty dollar, the people are what made this country great and they worked hard to make a better life for themselves and their children. Now, all you have to do is kick back and let the checks roll in. Why kill yourself at a job, when you can have the exact same by sitting on your butt. Sure if you study hard and spend the money to go to college you may do better, but not likely to exceed your parent's success because everyone goes to college and there are fewer and fewer jobs out there and what jobs are there are low paying service jobs vice manufacturing jobs.

The American Dream has taken a serious hit from social engineering and everybody is a winner mentality. Everybody doesn't win in the real world and you are not rewarded for just showing up. The real world success requires hard work and dedication. Trophies are given for performance not existance. If you are a student today what options to you really have? Wastes thousands of dollars on an education that allows you to be the assistant manager at some service job or start at the same place and work your way to assistant manager? Not much of a choice really. How about investing in the future? How can you save for the future if you are burried in debt? How can you retire if there is no money to retire on? Maybe working until you die will change some thought processes, like it sucks to have the government waste your money on BS. Funny how very few of us are marching on Washington demanding an accounting of all the stolen money from Social Security. Think about it, billions of dollars has been stolen and wasted by the government, they can't show you the books on where it all went because they have no idea. The money is running out and the number of workers is dwindling, so soon the ponsie scheme is going to crash down. Who was minding the store when all the money was looted?

The our kids and grand-kids have every right to be pissed that they are going to slave their lives away paying for our wasteful ways. They are going to wonder how granny and grandpa were able to retire at 62 and suck the government tit to 90, while they work until they are carted away at 80. Life expectancy will go down if people have to work until death because it is easy to sit around bitching, but it is damn hard to get up every morning andhead off to work at Starbucks as the assistant manager for 50 years. Good luck kids because you are going to need it because your parents were idiots.

There are several explanations we’re likely to hear about the outcome in South Carolina on Saturday. Most of them will involve the voters being silly and not knowing what’s good for them. (I especially like the variant that says South Carolina voters went for Newt Gingrich – Newt Gingrich! – because they’re right next to Georgia. Yeah, right. Gingrich is Mr. New American South.)
If the voters weren’t silly, they would understand that it has to be Mitt Romney, because, well, primary voters were silly and picked Christine “I am not a witch” O’Donnell over Mike Castle in Delaware, not to mention running with that goofy Sharron Angle in Nevada, and look how that turned out. You can’t get California and you probably can’t get New York, if you’re the GOP nominee. But you have a good shot at Pennsylvania and Ohio, Michigan and maybe even Illinois, if you’re Mitt Romney. Newt Gingrich? Forget it. Gingrich can’t even win Georgia.
And the truth is, this analysis isn’t necessarily wrong. If I had to make a bet, I’d bet that a Newt Gingrich nominated to run for the GOP in November would implode on the campaign trail. He’d still make a better president than Obama, but his “sticking it to the media” shtick in the debates would lose its luster when he faced Obama. He comes across as easily annoyed; the feistiness that resonates with voter sentiment in the primaries would weather time and tides poorly. As between an irritable Gingrich and a cool, scripted Obama, I would predict without hesitation that the latter’s jokes during a debate would come off better. All things being equal, that is.
As with the O’Donnell-Castle primary outcome in 2010, however, it’s not the voters who are silly. They know that all things aren’t equal in 2012. The voters who put Gingrich over the top yesterday believe that we can’t keep going down the same political path in the United States – and that that holds for Republicans at least as much as for Democrats, if not more. Their perception is that the GOP leadership is invested in the current path of government: that it doesn’t want change; it is not committed to restoring liberty and limited government, but instead is comfortable with the growth of regulatory intrusiveness, and seeks merely to broker pragmatic accommodations to leftist activism as a sort of rear-guard action.
Considering that the GOP has been doing this for most of the last 80 years, the voters aren’t wrong. They aren’t wrong about Mitt Romney: his record of enthusiastic accommodations to the left is a set of rusty, clanking weights tethered to the back of the Mitt-mobile. Gingrich and Santorum both have some ‘splainin’ to do as well, but Gingrich has specifically repudiated some of his earlier faux pas (such as the snuggle-up with Nancy Pelosi on combating “global warming”). He also speaks trenchantly on the issues that exercise the most voters: federal debt, health care regulation, regulation in general, government intervention in the economy, illegal immigration.
It does matter to primary voters, moreover, that Gingrich “takes it to” the media by rhetorically denouncing the questions posed in the GOP debates. Voters on the right perceive the one-sided political attitude of the media to be a significant problem for American politics. And while I don’t get as excited as others do about Gingrich’s little rhetorical broadsides in the debates –responding with broadsides isn’t, per se, a component of leadership – this is another thing the voters aren’t wrong about. Media bias is a problem, not only in politics but for our public life in general. People believe a lot of things that aren’t so today because of the particular narratives favored by the major media. The perception of public assent generated by the media’s formulations produces an environment for government taking actions that jeopardize our liberties.
Many voters are determined not to be ruled by federal executive agencies whose agendas are approved by MSNBC and the New York Times. These voters are voting for the candidate they deem most likely to reverse America’s slide into precisely that method of government. That they see such a candidate in Newt Gingrich speaks more loudly about the general state of the GOP than about anything else. Voters are seeking to break the inertia and conventionalism of the Republican Party; this is, in fact, a power struggle, and one in which I would not bet against the voters.
The famous salvo from South Carolina in April 1861 precipitated a shooting war under old conditions that no longer prevail. The Union had all the material advantage in that war, as it had the moral advantage in being determined to preserve the national union while ending slavery.
But today’s South is no longer under such a disadvantage. A political salvo from the South is a different portent now. Likewise, the Republican Party doesn’t hold a Union-like advantage over its members, nor is there any valid reason for our federal government to hold such an advantage over a law-abiding people. Today’s “rebel” GOP voters in South Carolina aren’t the slave-regime old guard, they’re the abolitionists. We need not be deceived that wanting to reverse the encroachments of the federal government, and defeat the plantation mentality in Washington, is evidence of irresponsibility or lawlessness. The truth is closer to the opposite.
The people have one tool – the vote – by which to express the sentiment that things have to change. In 2008, Mitt Romney didn’t look all that different from George W. Bush. The Obama tenure has been a wake-up call that has put Romney in a new perspective: in 2012, he doesn’t look as different from Barack Obama as conservative voters would prefer. Obama is less an outlier than the end-gamer of the same big-government principles embraced by both major parties over the past 80 years. We have now seen with our own eyes where those principles lead, and the voters don’t want to go there. It’s not the voters who need to wise up; it’s the Republican Party.

South Carolina is the beginning of the end for the Republican Party because they just don't get it. The People are pissed off and they don't want more of the same. Newt is not new, but at least he appears to be different and not annointed by the powers in Washington. I don't personally like Newt, but I understand the anti-establishment feelings and looking for different. This is going to be a very long year and one can only hope that the powers that be wake up to the fact the People want better than what Washington is currently shoveling.

A very nice take on how things work in the real world. Sex is not a toy for children. Sex has many very serious consequences, which indeed includes children but also whole host of both negative and positive consequences. Children would be a wonderfully positive outcome for many couples, but a very serious life changing consequence for an unmarried teenager. I think people need to let their children know and understand that every action has consequences. If you are not ready for the consequences then you are not ready for the action.

Great take on things. I am all for gridlock if it prevents stupidity to reign freely. The fact that the last Congress only passed 80 bills is a wonderful thing. It would be nice to see things repealed, but I will take no further damage for now. I am still praying for sanity in Washington, but at least for now I will take inaction.

Sixty-eight percent of voters said they would “definitely vote for” or “consider voting for” a third-party candidate whom they agreed with on most issues, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll Friday.

Americans are split over whether the creation of a third-party is necessary, however — 48 percent consider a third party necessary, while 49 percent say that it is not necessary.
The most likely to support the creation a third party? A majority of independents (61 percent), liberals (60 percent) and moderates (51 percent) said that a third party was necessary.
The Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted Jan. 12-15, with a sample of 1,000 adults and a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

As I said only days ago there is strong support by the Angry Joes for a new fiscally conservative party that is socially moderate. This isn't rocket science and the fact that the social conservatives keep trying to claim 60% of America as "conservative" is complete BS, 60+ % of Americans are fiscal conservatives that have lots of differing opinions on the social issues. I will keep beating this drum as long as it takes to wake people up to the fact that America is a fiscally conservative country fed up with the crap the two parties are shoveling in Washington. They have looked to the Republicans and that was a failure and then they turned to the Democrats and that was a bigger failure.

We are now out of options and the election of 2012 will be the beginning of the end for the current two parties. Whether we have three parties or two will likely be those social cons because they will never accept anything less than a complete social con. They will likely still win seats here and there, but the fiscal cons will build a powerful majority over the liberals and social cons. It is not a bad thing to have three parties if they represent the people and keep the federal government in check. I have always said a strong fiscally conservative middle would force the extremes of both parties back to the middle where most of the country lives. I know that I will take a huge amount of heat for being a social con traitor, but I still believe what I believe regardless.

I only hope more people wake up to the new reality in time for 2014 and 2016, so we don't waste another four years appeasing the parties. We owe nothing to the parties and since they have stopped listening to the people they need a swift kick in the ass. The Republicans are gloating that the Democrats are losing registered voters, but the thing they aren't telling is those voters are not going Republican they are going unaffiliated. With 68% willing to vote third party that means a good third party candidate can win regardless what the diehards of the parties do. I posted the scenario a couple of days ago.

Now is the time to prepare and gel what we want in 2014 and 2016 because it is going to take money and lawyers to make sure every ballot is open to us. Angry Joes the time is near to make a fundamental change in this country. We can no longer listen to the talking heads carry water for the establishment and tell us the grassroots anger is gone with the Tea Party. We are still angry and we are still here. We need to keep telling Washington at every opportunity who we are and what we want. We are the Angry Joes and we want to return sanity to Washington through fiscal conservatism.

Mitt Romney: The Last Republican President?

An interesting article, but I don't think that Romney will be president and after sitting this election out a good crop of candidates will be available in 2016 to fight both the vacuum left by the Joker. The fact that the average American has no stomach for the far right or left there is a strong possibility for the rise of a new party or at least a very viable third candidate. It will be a blood bath for both parties and will vicious appeals to their extreme bases that will open the door to an adult that is fiscally conservative and socially moderate. The American voter is sick of socialism and big government, but they are also sick of theocracy and big government. The want jobs and smaller government and neither party is offering that this time around and won't be doing it in 2016 either.

It sucks that we will be stuck with four more years with the Joker only to see more of the same BS out of Washington. The Republicans will go back and lick their wounds and say Romney really wasn't their choice even though he has been their man from the start. The People will say give us a real choice of a fiscal conservative or we will look elsewhere. The Republicans will have a hard time coming up with a viable option to rally around because a fiscal conservative means lessening the power of Washington, which they will have none of ever. There will be Christie and Ryan, but they won't be loved by the Republicans because they are not right enough for this and that reason. Then you will see the party fracture in two with the social cons and fiscal cons at odds.

Since the social cons have been the litmus test for Republicans for a couple of decades they will seize the party and continue to run it into the ground. The fiscal cons will find a lot of blue dogs in hiding and rally around a fiscal con candidate that appeals to the fiscal cons in this country which comprise 60% of the population. Now there will be a portion of that 60% that is social con and will not vote for a social moderate, so the support will probably end up in the mid forties. Let's examine that number for a minute, lets say 45% for the fiscal con, that leaves 55% for both the liberal and the social con. The liberals will likely get 30% of the hard core Democrats and the social con is only left with 25%, so guess who wins the election. Now the party title of Republican can go either way, but with the failure in the 2012 election I am guessing that the fiscal cons will pick a new name. The Republican party will remain viable for a couple more cycles because of how the states are rigged against third parties, but the candidates may have an R, but more than likely be more fiscal cons then social cons.

The failure of Romney will usher in a new day in American politics just has the failure of Bush gave rise to the Tea Party movement. If you think the Tea Party is dead because they didn't get their guy on the ballot you are wrong. The Tea Party fell for the oldest trick in the book and they won't like it come November 2012 and regardless of who wins they will be pissed and ready for real change in 2014 and 2016. They will no longer align themselves with the Republicans after this screw job and the original Tea Party will reassert itself as an alternative choice in support of fiscal conservative ideals and jobs. They may take a new name and they will stand for fiscal conservatives of all parties. They will no longer be able to make the easier choice of pandering to the social cons because that did nothing to fix this country other than either lose the election or get a big government "conservative" in the White House.

The Angry Joes will prevail in the end and they will realize they are the ones that possess the true power in this country. The Tea Party tapped into this power in 2010 and then lost their way in the social con quagmire. The Angry Joes will see that no party truly represents them and will forge a new fiscal conservative party out of the fiscally conservatives in this country. They will stop disqualifying fiscally conservative candidates because they are not socially conservative enough for the far right "base". This will bring the country back together in the middle and we will once again be strong and have a brighter future.

The Angry Joes have been fooled a couple of times, but they are learning who their friends truly are and it isn't the Republicans or the Democrats. They know that they will have to stand on their own if they are going to fix this country, which they will because they are hard working and dedicated to seeing the American Dream go on for their children. They are absolutely sick of Washington and all the BS that has been spewed from the mouth of all these career criminals. They aren't going to take it and they aren't going to listen that no third party is possible any longer. Those are just more lies by the MSM and the two screw them at every turn parties. Mark my words there will be a new party in 2016 regardless of who wins in 2012 and they will push the Democrats and the Republicans aside. The will do the impossible and win the White House with a fiscal conservative that is socially moderate because that is the majority of this country and if given a true choice that is who they will vote for in 2016.

It will take some serious work to get that candidate on all 50 ballots and some very strong leadership to carry the banner, but once the banner is raised there will be a shift that will leave the MSM speechless and the parties scrambling. They will deride the new party as a passing fad and that there is no way a third party candidate can win and that a third party candidate even if they won couldn't get anything done. All that is establishment BS because if as the above numbers show a third party candidate can win and if they do win then they know they have the will of the people and with some good governing that support will grow and grow. The mid terms would support the change and then their re-election would drive a further stake into the heart of the two parties. This isn't science fiction this is the truth.

The Angry Joes need to believe in themselves and stop listening to the talking heads. We can make a difference because we always have. It is the Angry Joes the "squishy' independents that swing elections, understand that "squishy" means soft on social issues, but that doesn't me soft on fiscal issues. Don't let the negatives from all sides get you down and continue to push forward and people will follow. It won't be easy, but it will be worth the work in the end.

Random Thoughts

It is good to see that other people are coming around to my way of thinking when it comes to the 2012 election. Whomever wins the nomination for President is going to be in a crap shoot with the Joker, so we need to focus our energy on the House and Senate. We need to send a solid group of fiscal conservatives to Washington to help turn this mess around. The guys over at Red State are finally waking up to the fact the we need to focus on the candidates that will make the biggest difference in the direction of this country and that isn't Mittens or the Joker. It is the House where spending bills begin and in the Senate where Judges and appointees are confirmed. If the next President wants to get anything done then it will have to pass through one or both houses, so let's make that trip mean something for a change.

If we fill the House with even more fiscal conservatives then the silliness of a two month extension doesn't happen and isn't eve tried because it is a patently stupid idea. No liberal judge get confirmed and we might finally be able to put an end to legislation from the bench. Now is the time to take control of the Congress and make the President dance to our tune. I have my guys picked out which is pretty easy for me being from AZ, but I do send money to those guys that need it, like Allen West.

Speaking of Allen West, you have to respect a guy that is willing to open himself up to ever left wing liberal nut-bag. Those Marines were wrong to piss on those corpses, but we should not be the ones judging them, but rather those who are there and understand the stresses of combat. I am also pretty happy to see even some of the MSM are sounding out that this isn't a tragedy. We need to keep the fact that those people were killed trying to kill those Marines and they were only showing the true feelings toward people that had tried to kill them.

I have to wonder if there is any hope to turn this mess around regardless of how successful at getting adults elected to Congress. With all that is going on in Europe and the very obvious results of deficit spending, we have the President going to Congress and requesting another $1.2 trillion on the credit card. It may be too late to prevent the crash that is sure to come. We are at $14 plus trillion in debt and adding to it each and every day. Pretty soon we aren't going to be able to service the debt without borrowing every single dollar to run the country.

I guess that is all I have for now, but I want to hear what you all think.

Solar Sagging

Solar is a bad idea as a major power supplier, but a great idea as a supplemental power source. Solar power plants make very little sense because they are unpredictable and have a limited on time, which makes them a loser in the utility business. Having solar panels on your house on the other hand makes great sense and everyone should look into a supplemental power source for their home. Here in the valley of the sun, not having solar on your house is just plain stupid. Every house and business should make the minor investment in a few solar panels that can reduce their peak consumption. I make about 10 KW a day right now in the winter and it will cut my consumption by 75% in the winter months. This is a pretty good deal if you ask me. It offsets the energy that I suck off of Palo Verde Nuclear Plant and if everyone did so then that available power source could be stretched further. This is just plain smart and it really doesn't cost that much if you go through Solar City or some such company. Even if there were not cost breaks it would be worth the price in the long run. I heard people saying that it should be mandatory for builders to put it on houses and businesses, but I believe in choice and those who don't can pay for their stupidity with higher energy prices. Small scale solar is smart, big utility solar is stupid.

What to do? Meet the Press Debate

Watching the debate this morning and so far the only thing that is striking a cord with me is the Perry response on sacrifice. Americans want jobs and they want to work to provide for their families. There was a lot of talk about social issues last night, which is only playing to Left and MSM. I fully believe that it is important to have those social issued settled in your own heart, but should not be the sole reason to elect the president. This country is bigger than that and we need to look beyond these issues. The country must first survive to move forward and heal. If we fix things then we can debate these personal issues and put them to vote in local/state ballots.

Ron Paul has very strong ideas on fiscal issues and that really strikes a cord with a lot of people (the wife and I). The flip side of that is the foreign policy, which has some problems in the real world. I am isolationist leaning and I love the idea of putting our house in order first before we can think about provide assistance outside our boarders. I am just sorry that Ron Paul walked back from his newsletter, which he stood behind for many year,s but crumbled under the white hot heat of the media.

Perry landed a good punch on several of the "big government conservatives", which is not kind of conservative at all. I am liking Huntsman for his acceptance of the Ryan plan and pushing for term limits. He is too soft for the far right, but at least he sees the right answer on political problem and the curve of the budget. The gay question is was typical gotcha question for the MSM and now the union question is another one. There is a lot of good answers coming out of this debate, but it is mostly preaching to the choir. At the end of the first hour, I don't think any opinions will change and the course of the nomination is pretty much set.

The sad fact is that the stage is filled with OWGs and there is very little actually diversity among them. I wonder who the VP nominee is going to be? It is likely to be a female or maybe a man of some color, but is that really the right answer based on the mess this country is in. Would it not be better to have a budget wiz on the under card?

The wife has spoken and she is a very good barometer for the Angry Janes, she is a fiscal conservative and a relative social moderate (strong personal believes but keeps them personal). She is liking what she is hearing from Ron and Jon. She doesn't stay up with all the twists and turns, but she doesn't like Newt or Rick S. She hasn't really formed an opinion on yet on Rick P. or Mitt. Based on what I know of my lovely wife, she is sick of the political BS and wants results. The only people straight talking results on the stage were Ron & Jon. The other guys are just saying what people want to hear to get elected, which includes all of the other four.

Putting all spin aside, I liked what I heard from Huntsman and he would have a chance if there was a fiscal conservative party that wasn't dominated by the hardline right. Oh well, Mittens moves forward and this was an exercise in day dreaming.

Dear Tea Party Patriots: We Are Family

I love this guy and he words speak truth about the true goal is stopping the Joker. I hate that it is coming down to Mittens, but that is the sad truth, but Mittens is still better than the Joker. I can dream about a knight on a white fiscal conservative horse, but that ain't happening. So, it is time to double up the efforts on the Congress and taking the Senate away from Reid. We will get our day in the future, but if a fiscally conservative House and Senate can make a huge difference in this country regardless of who's butt is sitting in the Oval Office.

This is America and we are all Americans first and anything else second. We need to remember that this is the land of opportunity and was built on hard work. It is time to get back to work and fight to put Washington back in its Constitutional box. We need to starve the beast and remove its tentacles from around our necks. We need invest in job creation by individuals, not the government. We need to make America an attractive place to do business and earn a buck. I will keep beating this drum because this is what is going to save this country. We need to put America back to work and earning an honest days wage for an honest day's work. We need to let people keep the money they earn through hard work. Put an end to class warfare because it is counterproductive and only makes our current situation worse. Company's are not our enemy and hard work has been are trademark for decades, so let's make it profitable to do business in America again.

I want the new elected Congress and President in 2013 to reform taxes and regulation, so that companies know what to expect and know that it is worth investing in America. I want them to seriously cut spending and trim the federal roll (and role). Is this too much to ask? I think not, since we are already cutting the military there needs to be cuts everywhere else. Let's focus on the extra departments and non-Constitutional roles that our government is currently filling, like education, energy, housing, healthcare and the list goes on and on. We can either start with a scalpel or an ax, but we need to start cutting and not stop until we have a balanced budget and money to pay down the national debt. Is this going to be easy, no but necessary. Either we do this or we will be Greece before the 2016 election. I am for austerity now, when we can control the cuts vice bankruptcy where the cuts are reactionary and willy-nilly.

The time has come to put on our big boy pants and stop all the whining and crying. We need to support Mittens and make sure he is backed by a fiscally conservative Congress. Then we make the decisions easy for him by sending him solid plans for fixing this country. Reagan took a lot of heat early for his radical changes, but after a couple of years and significant progress all was forgiven and he is remembered as a great President. I am okay with President Romney taking credit for turning this mess around, if this country actually turns around. I am over my bratty period and I am no longer looking for that damn knight, so lets join together to force real change in America and make a true difference. I want to make America a better place for my beautiful granddaughter who just happens to be named Phoenix. I want America to rise like a Phoenix out of this morass and once again soar like an eagle (cue the band and wave the flags).

Let's throw an expensive party to celebrate this momentus occasion, maybe Michelle can fly us all to some luxurious vacation spot for the party. It makes me want to puke, that we have allowed the debt to be run up another $6 Trillion, but even worse is that it was $9 Trillion after eight years with a Republican President. Rise of the Angry Joes

The Angry Joes are on the rise and there are multiple reports of declining party affliation and the volitity of the Republican field. The warm blooded hard working American tax payer is searching for more than they are getting out of Washington. They are sick and tired of the lies and broken promises.

They were willing to back the Republicans and there were some good times, but the Republicans in Congress 2000-2006 broke their promise of fixing this country and restoring it to greatness. They failed to create good paying jobs and reign in the government.

So the Angry Joes looked to the Joler and the Democrats and they tossed out the Republicans in 2006 and 2008. The bad news is that things only got worse, which most of us on the right already knew that they would.

So the Angry Joes looked to the Tea Party as a breath of fresh air and supported them big time in 2010. Now the Angry Joes have a problem because there is no one in the 2012 race for them to vote for come November. They have been willing to swing their support behind just about any candidate that wasn't the Joker or Mittens, but now that well is dry.

So what is an Angry Joe to do now? They have a couple of options and none of them good at the moment. They can stay home and not vote for either choice, but that really isn't a solution because both are bad choices. They can vote the old party line, which is just as bad. Right now there is no third choice because there is no candidate to get behind. The Angry Joes need to recruit a viable candidate that understands that we must first get our fiscal house in order before we tackle any other issues.

Who is such a candidate? I know of only a few and they have already said no, so there needs to be a better effort made to drag them into this race. Paul Ryan, Mitch Daniels, and Chris Christie are all the kind of guys that we need. We need fiscal conservatives that have experience in fixing bad government. We need straight talkers that can stand up and tell America the party is over and now it is time to pay the piper.

I don't know if any of them would jump in at this late date or if they are even the right guys for the job, but they have to be better than the Joker and Mittens, right? I want to hear what you are thinking about this mess and how us Angry Joes can make a difference. I absolutely hate the idea of being forced to either stay home or vote for the Joker or Mittens.

I good article on State run healthcare. I wonder how far the sheep are will to surrender to the shepherd, we have already been fleeced and now they are looking to the government to decide who lives and dies. That idea along scares the crap out of me. I wonder why so many people around the world come here to be treated for all manner of sickness, when they a perfectly good government healthcare systems in their own countries? I personally am okay with the system that allows the richest to pay through the nose to get excellent care because there is a trickle down on all luxuries, but you don't see innovation and perfection in anything the government does now do you. As an example, almost every car in America has a radio and most people have cell phones, and why is that? It is the free market baby! We invent stuff and at first only the rich can afford it, but over a short period of time they figure out a way for everyone to get some.

The same goes for medical care, the mad doctors invent a better way to treat something and only the rich can initially afford, but pretty quickly it becomes a mainstay of modern medicine. So, let take the flip side, the quasi-governmental post office, they have been doing mail for decades and did they innovate or come up with a better way? No, the overnight thing was done outside of the Post Office because some one saw a need to be faster than snail-mail. Give me one example of how the government innovates and does things better than anyone else except looting our hard earned money. Don't even try to talk to me about weapons and military inventions that have made it to the home. The price of development far exceeded the need and return on investment. Billions of dollars to build a couple of nuclear bombs and the materials to create more. I am sure if a company saw a market for nuclear bombs it could have done it for millions. The free market works and the government doesn't. You want affordable healthcare then get the government out and you will see the price of care drop. You stop stealing from everyone and flooding the market with tax dollars the prices drop. People build better mouse traps, you get rid of the lawyers and they market explodes with innovation and opportunities.

I've had it with the nanny state and big government thinking it can solve problems. Wake the F@#K UP people! We need to stopping thinking how the government can solve anything and stop looking to them for solutions. I say starve the living-shit out of the beast and see how solutions start appearing without constant government interference. We still need criminal protection and federal oversight to prevent criminals from escaping across state lines or evading justice, but what we don't need is a bunch of a-holes in Washington telling us how things should be done and what part of our own money we are entitled to keep. The right answer is all of it, except a very small portion for the national defense and interstate commerce oversight. Starve the Beast and there will be an outbreak of prosperity that this country hasn't seen since the late 80's.

Some interesting thoughts about the education process, but he did fail to say anything about the current state of the schools themselves. I would be hard pressed to send one of my children into the war zone and sexual cesspit that most schools have become. I mean really if there is any alternative then sign them up. I can't believe for what passes for an education these days and the kids are learning to prostitute themselves for "love". If a girl isn't wearing her best streetwalker outfit then how is she going to get to used by some punk to be popular. Where has self-respect and decency gone? Like I have to ask when we see grown women taking every opportunity to show how morally low they can go on every channel of the TV. The men are worse as they play video games and live with their parents well into what used to be adulthood. I am ashamed of what has become of our once great nation of dreamers and go getters.

No wonder that people from all over the world want to come here and seize upon the opportunities that we squander every day. The whole OWS movement makes me want to vomit because instead of striving to become one of the 1%, they think that they should be given everything. I am 1%, but I came from the bottom 10%, so it really pisses me off when the richest people in the world whine about wanting more for free. Get off your ass and work! This is America and you can become anything you want, but you do actually have to do something more than play video games and hook up. The schools are useless because they have rewarded this horrendous behavior and made it the new normal. I mean the teachers themselves as we saw in Wisconsin only cared about their paychecks and pensions. I know there are teachers that do care and are just as horrified at the current state of affairs, but they need to revolt on the unions and the administrators.

This is America and we need to wake up. If we don't change how we act as adults, then our children will have zero chance of success and moving out. Women stopping being sluts for TV and men put down the game controllers. If you are in your 30's, living at your parents house, still just hooking up, or playing video games more than two hours a day, then you might need to re-evaluate your life and future. The sad news ladies is you won't be able to reproduce because God in his infinite wisdom prevents that from happening late in life. I know doctors make it possible for a limited few to have children in their 40's, but that takes money and luck. I do feel sorry for all those wonderful young ladies that have a lot to offer, but instead are being used and abused. They have a long lonely road ahead of them and with the current crop the man-boys their prospects are for love, marriage, and children are quickly fading away. We as the older generation we need to show them that there is a better way and that things can be different. That also means that we have to get our house in order by loving wives and respecting husbands. This seems like a pretty tall order in this day and age, but it is very possible and quite preferable to a life alone.

Then again maybe the public schools are a self correcting problem. If they fail to educate and maintain a societal standard they will continue to fail and only become storehouses for the most vile of our nation. The good and decent people will break away and teach their children well. The the divide will grow larger between the haves and the have nots, until we return to the dark ages where only a select few are educated and the rest await the master's bidding. Do we really want to return to aristocrats and peasants? It sure seems like it to me, but then again I am a crusty old fart that doesn't know shit.

This is America and our best choices for President and Leader of the Free World are coming down to Mittens and the Joker. Ron Paul is imploding as we speak over some dumbass stuff he wrote twenty years ago. He wrote it and he is now backtracking, which is a sure sign of doom for him with the independents. It is okay to be a flamethrower if you are an honest broker, but a weak spine backtracking flamethrower is destined to the ash heap of history and a quick return to fringe status. I liked a lot of things Ron Paul was offering up and was a reluctant supporter because he seemed to be wild and crazy, but truthful. Now he is just wild and crazy.

That leaves us with the current dilemma of Mittens vs. the Joker, this is not something that puts fire in the bellies of many Americans and is likely to result in a very low turnout for either side. The Joker supports can barely stomach him and won't be flocking to the polls to joyfully return him to office and we all know Mittens of the wet blanket. I would be hard pressed to mail in my ballot with those available choices because neither is a good one. I will of course vote and Mitten as the nominee will get my vote, but I will be far more interested with the rest of the ticket particularly Representative and Senator. It will be less than an nose holder, but more a sad and disheartened vote.

We had so much promise and so many opportunities, but that jumped on their junk with golf shoes. I guess that can be the one good thing for Mittens is that he didn't imploded. I can only hope that he picks someone with a brain to be his VP because otherwise the polls are going to be empty next November. I am a voter in search of something better than the status quo and was willing to take a chance on every one except Newtie, but none were worthy and now I must accepted the sad results. I hope you will keep a light burning for good representation in the Senate and House because that will either prevent the Joker's continued rule of destruction or limit Mittens ability to wish-wash this country away.

I can I hear a call into the wild for a strong VP, like Paul Ryan or even a straight talking squish Chris Christie (left on a lot of stuff, but finance he gets it). A good article on how market solutions work, even in health care. I would add that opening auto insurance to national markets also lows the cost, so it can also be used as an example. I believe in the market place and market principles because they actually work until the crap the government shovels. Obamacare costs billions to cover a few million, so instead of setting up a huge new government waste machine it would have been much simpler to just had those few million the cash to pay insurance premiums and cut out all the extra BS. The same concept applies to the cash for clunkers program that cost the taxpayers $50K per car, when it would have been much cheaper to give them have that to actually buy a new fuel efficient car. Believe me, I do not condone giving federal money away, but it is a far cheaper and cost effective use than a government program.

I say let the market and consumers decide what they are willing to pay for and cut out the government. Some regulation/oversight is necessary to prevent criminal activity, but that is law enforcement's job to protect and serve. If you want cut rate insurance then you buy cut rate insurance and if you want to pay more you hunt out the best deal for you and yours. You don't have Uncle Sam telling you that your only choice is to use the state approved program, that has astronomical overhead and poor management. Instead you have a All-American go getter that knows there is a market and provides the best possible product at the best price to attract lots and lots of customers. Once he rests on his laurels their will be another go-getter that builds an even better mouse trap and offers even greater services to woo customers away to his plan. This is how the free market works, but allow the government to intervene then you "requirements" and disincentives and lawsuit phobia, which all drive prices artificially high. See cosmetic surgery market, prices keep dropping because there is steady demand and always some one thinking of new and cheaper options. Why pay $5K a piece, when you can pay $9K for both, or why not shop around and get the $11K lap band vice the $15K version of the same thing. Oh you will say that there are bad things that come from cheaper medicine, but if a doctor is a poor practitioner, then in this media age they are culled out and his business stops vice hidden and shuffled from one location to the next behind medical secrecy.

This is America, let the market decide what is the price and let the people decide what they are willing to pay for in that market. There will always be the high volume low payout organizations that will cater to the lower end and gold plated all the bells and whistles for those who can pay. Is this a crime? If you listen to the left, yes it is, but socialized medicine has been tried the world over with the same bad results. It results in poor care, long lines, and zero innovation, if that is your choice then there are plenty of places around the world for you. If you want cutting edge and personal care then get the government out and put people back in charge.

Here is an interesting view point and one which I now reluctantly agree with. Ron Paul was never my first choice for nominee and I have a hard time believing that enough Americans will rise off the asses to do their homework to elect the man that could save the country. He is great for a fiery soundbite and without further research appears to be a nutcase, but get past the MSM smoke screen and you have a well read and thoughtful Constitutionalist that make perfect and correct assertions. I know that Mittens will win the nomination because the establishment wants the safe choice and thinks he will carry them to victory, but the sad truth is that he is only slightly better than the Joker and will compromise our way into ruin. Mittens does not have the backbone to stare down the democrats and make them bend to his will (whatever that may be today). He is a compromiser and will sell the farm if it makes him look good never mind the destruction that it will bring down the road (Romneycare).

It will be tough to see us fall one by one to the Republican machine and we continue to search for a hero to bring us out of this mess, but as there are no heroes with a chance of success, I will take one that tilts at windmills and tells the truth for now.

How to Shut Down the Welfare State

Here is a nice idea that will never see the Halls of Congress. I wonder how long we can continue to kid ourselves that the government can magically take care of all of its citizens all the time on the backs of half, which used to be three-quarters, which used to be ninety percent. It is funny that now we are running out of other people's money that things finally are getting a hard look.

It is amazing that we have reached the half and half mark people don't see it as the "rich" paying anymore and if the Democrats are to be believed the solution is that we tax the "rich" even more to restore balance. We have already reached balance and the only way the "rich" can pay is for more people not to pay, which is clearly unsustainable as the current situation. We need to fix the system by truly allowing the rich to take care of the truly poor and those in the middle to take care of their own. Top 10% pay for the bottom 10% and the other 80% pay their own way.

That plan is is how this all started and over time we've let it creep to 50/50, which is no solution. The bottom 50 see it as their right to take and the top 50 are getting tired of the situation. This is what happens when the government gets involved with social solutions vice maintaining that people are independent and have the right to fail. We used to take care of our own and those in our community, but now the government is forcing us to provide charity to all who ask and a great many do not need or deserve. When charity was local there was community pressure to right yourself and do better, but government charity is a right and no change or improvement necessary.

I for one have experienced local charity as a child and I vowed never to experience it again. I studied hard and worked to improve my lot in life. I earned money to go to college and then spent 20 years in the military. I believe in taking care of family in need and caring for the widows & orphaned. I do not believe in long term unemployment or welfare because like the write of the above cited post it does not allow the consequences of people's actions to correct their behaviors. We were founded on the principle that of equal opportunity, but that also means an equal opportunity to fail. Failure is a great motivator and teacher, so you work harder next time to avoid the experience of failure. If we remove the consequences of failure, then what does it teach us? We are unburdened from consequences then we learn nothing and we do nothing different to avoid the sting of failure.

This is why 25% of this country is poor, but still has cell phones for everyone, flat screen tv's, computers, and gaming systems. Back in my early childhood, you could tell someone was poor because they didn't have things that middle class people had. They didn't have multiple cars, new clothes, the latest gadgets, or food. Local churches helped with food and clothes, but if you were poor you did without. It sucked being hungry, cold, and not having stuff, so you set your mind to do better by working hard and making a better life for yourself. It sucks to be poor and you do whatever you can to avoid it. You work multiple low pay jobs, you go to school at night, and you do whatever it takes to make it. You hate handouts and feel shame at having to take them, while vowing in your heart to do what it takes never to have to feel that way again.

Do you feel the same way when the money is dropped into your account and your debit card is refilled each month? Your housing is paid by the taxpayers? You begin to believe your own BS that you are oppressed and you deserve everything you are getting. The man has held you down and that America is at fault. I ask you, then why do people from all over the world still come here seeking a better life? They do it because our poor are rich as compared with the rest of the world. Just the crumbs from our tables of bounty are more than millions see each day. Our government doesn't come into our homes and snatch people away to never be seen again.

I am sorry, but it is time to stop sugar coating the truth about the poor. There are truly needy people in this country and we should take care of them, but there are so many others that are not needy, just America poor, that need to stand on their own two feet and make their own way in the world. We need to restore the reality of middle class and stop lying that it is disappearing because it is still there, but we keep raising the bar on poor to include more middle class people. Since when is a family of four poor at $40K a year? Only when they have to have a big house, two cars, four smart phones, XBox 360, 60" flat screen, four ipads, and a partridge in a pear tree. This is no war on the poor, but on the pseudo-poor that lack for nothing and still expect more from the government teat.

I dare say that it has come down to this and he might just be the answer this time around. If he is nominated, it will be a bloodbath to the general election, but he is likely to weather it because people are sick of the status quo of state-ism. He could very well win the general, but I can assure you the Democrats and Republicans alike would be tearing him down every chance they get to ensure he is a one term president. Why you ask? He is the scariest thing in the world to the business-government machine, he has actually read and stands by the C0nstitution. This absolutely can not be for the power hungry career criminals in Washington and their cronies on all sides.

If it is coming down between two career politicians that will say and do anything to get elected or make a buck, then I guess it is time to throw caution to the wind and go with the wild idea generator himself. Hell how bad can he be compared to the three piles of crap currently on top? He believes we should follow our governing documents and stop wasting our tax dollars trying to rule the world. He also sees things as black and white in the Constitution, which isn't a bad thing either. How will he govern? I am going to guess by the law of the land and make changes that more closely align to the Constitution. Is that all going to happen? No, the career criminals will fight him every step of the way until they realize the the people are following their newly elected President and if they ever want to get re-elected (most important thing to a politician) then they are going to need to change their thinking. I am still holding out for a hero, but it seems the tights and cape are fitting Ron Paul very nicely at this point.

I have, God help me, become a reluctant Ron Paul supporter and let's ride this whirlwind to the White House. Yippy-Ki-Yay!!!

A Kentucky Funeral

How far have we fallen as a nation that this harkens back to such a better time in our nation's history. Neighbors helping neighbors and love poured out in the simplest of gestures, a homemade pie. I warms my heart that this still exists, but all breaks it because it is so very rare.

I am having a hard time with where this country is headed and the current options for President give me no solace. I can only hope the the people of this nation, the salt of the earth, stand up to our corrupt and failing government and say enough the crap stops now. There are still a wide swath of those people all through the land, but I worry that the blood suckers and cronies are calling the shots over the voice of the people. Next up in the any but Romney go around. I like Newt, but he is a career politician that I just don't trust. Oh he is conservative and did wonderful things while Speaker, but then he had to quit. He took money to help Freddie fleece hard working Americans. I currently am undecided because Cain has flamed out in my eyes because of his poor grasp of the issues and complete inability to answer simple questions. I like Ron, but he is a real tough sell to most Americans. That leaves Mitt and that makes me sad and a little queasy. The golden opportunity to remove the Joker from the WH and we put forth Mittens the Flipper. You have got to be kidding me. I'm not sure that he won't win, but we should have been able to field a better candidate than Mittens. That is why, as always, I am looking to the House and Senate for my victory. We need to support candidates for those that will act on our behalf to clean this mess up. If your Representative is good and your Senator is not running then throw your support and MONEY to support a nearby race. I supported Allen West in FL from AZ because my team was set and solid (as it could be with McCain). This is where we can truly make a difference this and in every future election. It is a global economy and national politics now, so get with it and get out those checkbooks (visa checkcards).

Who will I vote for next November, that is easy anyone but the Joker and my local AZ team of conservatives and libertarians. Who will I support between now and then, hard to tell, but Allen West might be seeing a few more of my dollars or some other deserving candidate who needs help to fight off the liberal big government horde.

DOD Mismanages Its Force Reduction Program

Here is some food for thought and Force Reduction. With a Flag Officer for every 1500 trooper makes me think that we are way more than top heavy and have thought so for some time now. The total number of 919 becomes shocking when put against the fact it is the same number of flag officers in WWII. The huge different that the troop size in WWII was 16 million and today it is only 2 million., Busting out my faithful envelop and trusting No. 2 I see that we have about 800 extra flag officers. This doesn't even touch on the number of SES positions in DOD, so yes Virginia the military could used a boot camp style haircut.

I love the military and am in full favor of a strong national defense, but I also know that there is huge amounts of waste at the top and cronyism at DOD. Shall we also discuss all the finally off the roles and "retired" flags that find jobs at defense contractors that lobby the Pentagon and Congress for more money. I believe in free enterprise, but criminal collusion is something all together. Oh, sure there are rules that are suppose to protect the public from this, but they are routinely bent or ignored. Even if people are caught breaking them the punishment is a slap on the wrist (see Thunderscreen fiasco).

As we all know the super committee is going to fail in a big way and defense is going to be cut once again, but they will do as they always have and cut troops and needed programs to protect the flags and their cronies. This is the same problem the rest of the government/business interface has and why so many Americans are angry. We pay for all this corruption with our hard earned money seeking a safe place to work and provide a brighter future for our children. The government has long ignored the average joe, but the we are grabbing our pitchforks and torches. Angry Joes unite and put and end to wasteful crony government, by throwing the career criminals out of officer and into the real world. Cut all the golden parachute strings and make them fend for themselves as they have done to us for years now.

Time is running short and the choices are mighty thin at this point, but we have Senate races to win and House seats to protect. We needed a true hero and the field appears to be empty this morning, but each and every Angry Joe is a hero so we will push forward and take both Houses of Congress by wide margins. The Joker may stay in the White House, but it will be his prison of discontent as we will be able to accomplish nothing. He will be forced to retreat on his socialist agenda and watch his legacy go down in flames before him. We must continue to fight for the Senate to make this happen and if by some miracle Mittens wins the WH, then we can prevent him from giving away everything we have fought to regain.

I am disappointed with the Presidential race where Mittens is the only stable candidate and mostly likely the nose holding choice. He will drive turnout into record lows, which will ensure the SCOMF gets four more years. We can't let Mittens prevent us from taking the Senate and holding the House. We need to fire up the masses and show them that there is a better future ahead by listening to Ryan and Rubio and West. We need to look at the big picture and even if we don't take the WH, we gain the higher ground with both Houses of Congress. Lets go Tea Party, lets go Angry Joes, and lets go anyone that wants a better America for their children, it is time to fight for freedom and end tyranny in Washington.

One of the big topics of discussion around here over the weekend was whether or not Herman Cain has a “truth problem.” Generally, when we talk about politicians having such an issue, it’s because we catch them lying. (“BREAKING: Our top story tonight, a politician is caught telling a lie! That story coming up right after our investigative report revealing that many children like candy.”) Not so with the former Godfathers Pizza CEO. In fact, I’m hard pressed to think of an instance thus far where I could even say he’s been “bending the truth” apart from expressing opinions you may disagree with.
No, the discussion I was dragged into centered on a different sort of problem. It seems to me that there is a growing body of evidence which indicates that Herman Cain has a propensity to take pretty much any question from any reporter and just shoot from the hip with a truthful answer. It is only after the fallout from his answers begins that he seems to notice the potential damage he’s doing to his campaign and he embarks on a series of “clarifications” to make the answer more palatable to primary voters. This, in turn, provides red meat for his opponents to begin swinging at him and rather weak tea talking points for his supporters to try to defend his statements.
One of the most recent – and certainly most toxic – examples has been his series of puzzling answers on the abortion question. And let’s be honest here… who could possibly consider running for the Republican presidential nomination and not know that one was coming? I’ve heard the defenses being put forward, but frankly none of them make as much sense as the conclusion that Cain simply wasn’t ready for the question. Let’s go back once again and look at the precise answer he originally gave to Piers Morgan. (Emphasis mine for this particular question.)

No, it comes down to is, it’s not the government’s role — or anybody else’s role — to make that decision. Secondly, if you look at the statistical incidents, you’re not talking about that big a number. So what I’m saying is, it ultimately gets down to a choice that that family or that mother has to make. Not me as president. Not some politician. Not a bureaucrat. It gets down to that family. And whatever they decide, they decide. I shouldn’t try to tell them what decision to make for such a sensitive decision.

I’m sorry, but it doesn’t get much more clear than that. It’s a choice. It’s not the government’s business. But the excrement hit the fan, so to speak, and he wound up putting the campaign car in reverse and flooring the gas. First he tried to claim he didn’t fully understand the question, implying that he was only saying that he wouldn’t try to directly prevent abortions by executive fiat as president. (A silly argument, requiring us to believe the thought it was possible to do so or that the reporter and the voting public might have thought so.) Then he said that it should be illegal, but some families might choose to break the law anyway. (How it becomes illegal without the government being involved is something of a puzzler.) And now he’s saying that he would push for a constitutional amendment to make it illegal and would use the POTUS bully pulpit to push legislation to ban it. Sure sounds like the government being involved to me.
Related: Cain even went so far this weekend as to say, regarding such an amendment to the constitution, “… if it comes to my desk, I’ll sign it.” (Well. OK, then.)
This isn’t the only example, of course. He did the same thing on the electric fence, which was absolutely just a joke and not a policy position. Unless, a few hours later, you’d like it to be a policy position, in which case it might be. Because, you know… he doesn’t want to offend anyone.
That’s what led me to the conclusion yesterday that Herman Cain doesn’t have a problem with not knowing the issues or with lying. What he does have is an unfortunate propensity to just blurt out the truth without seeming to realize what it will do to his political fortunes. If there’s a flaw here, it’s that he can’t just stick by his original assertion and defend it boldly. He backpedals and tries to please everyone. If Cain honestly thinks that abortion is wrong but that it’s not the federal government’s place to get involved, he should make that case and stick by it.
This led one of my friends – a newly minted Cain supporter – to drop me a line after she’d had time to consider my argument. It included the following:

Maybe you don’t realize in your analytical little brain how offensive it sounds when you say that. Here’s what I hear you saying: Herman Cain shouldn’t be elected because he wasn’t smart enough to figure out what to lie about ahead of time.

Kind of harsh, but I had to admit that maybe that’s what I was saying. Cain wants to be president, but before you can hold that office you have to be a politician first. (And a darn good one at that.) Perhaps Cain would excel at the job as leader of the free world. But he’s not shining at the necessary task of being a good enough politician to get there. Assuming that many of these initial bits of truth telling are how he really feels about these issues, either Herman Cain has to figure out how to win the nomination while espousing positions which are unpopular with the base, or … (deep breath) .. he should have figured out how to lie about it more convincingly in the first place.

Maybe I have Cain all wrong and should cut him some slack. I was okay with his original position on abortion, but was opposed to all the walking back because it made him look incompetent. Maybe I should just keep loving Cain and ignore his back tracking. I too thought that he should be prepared for these questions, but in reality he was prepared with the truth. The bad part was that the truth is unpopular with a wide swath of voters, so the back tracking seemed necessary. It isn't necessary and frankly I would feel much better if he didn't do it. We are all entitled to make an honest mistake and I apologize for jumping to conclusions and not sticking by my man. Mr. Cain please stick to your honest answers and stop the BS.

The recent foot in mouth disease that has attacked Cain, returns me back to that time not too long ago that though I love me some Cain, I just didn't think he had what it took to get the job done. I would have thought by now he would have good solid answers to the typical Republican candidate questions from the media. If you don't have a good canned answer on abortion, they will eat you alive and make you look like an idiot (check). Have not done your foreign war homework, they make you look unprepared to lead the nation (check). He had this problem a few months back and I chalked it up to inexperience of being in the national spot light, but this time around it is just plain sad and excusable.

If you want to take a libertarian tack on abortion then do so. Say it is currently the law of the land and you will do what is in your power to change it, but you will also uphold the law. You think the government should butt out, wonderful. But some rambling answer that even boarders on criminalization is not going to fly with a huge majority of Americans. It is okay to be personally against it and wanting to change the law to reduce the numbers. But outlawing it for rape, incest, and health of the mother has proven to be a loser even in South Dakota. Rambling and split hairs is not going to win you any friends especially with all those single issue voters on both sides. I am personally against it, but I think it is a decision left to a woman and her doctor. Do I think it is murder, yep, but God has allowed murder and baby killing for decades. He punishes those according to His plan, so who am I to interfere.

I am sadden that Cain hasn't figured this out yet after months on the trail. He isn't likely to recover from this latest blunder before he stumbles into the next one because the traps are all laid just waiting on the opportunity for him to bumble his way in. He needs to sit down and get his shit straight before he blows his golden opportunity. Adjusting the 9-9-9 to 9-0-9 for the poor is a good thing because it shows that he listens and is willing to fix things as needed. But keep mucking around and people will believe you don't have a clue about what you are doing. This is his real danger and he is allowing it to happen by not getting his shit in one sock.

God help us all if Mittens is nominated because the Joker will eat him for lunch and the conservatives with stay home. They will suck their thumbs and cry about what could have been. Mittens will suck all the energy out of this election and unless Palin runs as third party, which she only has until the 31st to do to get on some ballots, the enthusiasm on the right dies and momentum shift left. Some one please help Herman to stop stomping on his dick with golf spikes and win that damn nomination already.

You have to wonder how long America will stand by and let itself be raped by the crony capitalist and unions. I hated TARP and the auto bailouts because they didn't let nature take its course to burn away the chafe. Now we see the cronies donating heavily to Romney and Perry, so what are the Angry Joes suppose to think is going to happen if either of them get elected. I am afraid for this country if we don't wake up to the reality that or government is for sale to the biggest donors. We are supposed to have a representative government, but it hasn't represented me in a long time. I want less federal and state intrusion. I want secure boarders. I want equality under that law and the law equally enforced. I want the market to decide outcomes not the feds. Cain may have his issues and his 999 plan may not be perfect, but at least he is trying to bring real change to the system. I will begin to worry about my support for him if he is suddenly flush with cash because that means the big money donors are putting their hooks into him. I would rather see him struggle and win on the backs of the grassroots, than sell out to corporate interests.

The thing is that all the elites and pundits say that he can't win because he does have millions of dollars on hand. This is funny because last time I checked it was votes that got you elected. I know it takes money to get your message out there and to pay people to make phone calls and stage rallies, but the truth is that if you have a message that resonates with the voters you can rise up and slay the money supported dragon. I have questions about the 999 plan, but I also know that unlike Romney and Perry I know that Cain has yet to sell out, that alone is enough to get my vote. I want change and that isn't going to happen by supporting the big money candidate. I am again today donating what I can afford to Cain to keep the wolves at bay and allow his message to get out. My daughter happened to make a trip down to DC yesterday and the Occupiers scared the crap out of her. They were just a bunch of dumbasses hanging out trying to be cool. There are a lot of reasons to be angry in America today and there are true protests. This OWS is just a manipulation by the failing democrats in an attempt to capture the angry middle.

We can not let this happen! The angry middle has very little sympathy for a bunch of hoodlums running around crapping on police cars, but they are angry with Wall Street for getting bailed out. If we don't start embracing all average joes that are pissed about how things are going then standby for four more years of the same or worse. We need to stand tall against corporate and bank bailouts. We need to stand tall against wasteful government spending. We need to stand tall against crony capitalist and unions with their huge politician buying donor checks. We need to stand tall for secure boarders. We need to stand tall for hard work. We need to stand tall for equal opportunity for all to succeed or fail on their own merits.

This is America and we have a choice over the next few months to turn this country around. We need to support those who are willing to stand tall for America. We need people like Cain and Paul to tell the truth and not be afraid. We need to shine the light of truth on the cronies/unions and their big checks. Romney is picking up money left and right from these guys and will win the nomination unless the Angry Joes stand tall and stop him. If Cain is nominated he is willing and able to stand tall. He is also able to bring solutions to the table and stand against the cronies/unions.

We are at a crossroads in America and a decision must be made about which direction this country will go. We can either allow the Joker and his clown posse to continue to lead this country to ruin or we can allow the cronies/unions to put their men in power or we can take control and restore the American Dream. I personally rather live in a country where hard work and determination dictate the outcomes, then in one where the government and its crony/union donors dictate the outcomes. Hell yeah I'm angry and so are a lot of Americans both on the "Left" and "Right". The American public has had it with our government, big business, banks, and politicians. What happened to the land of opportunity? When did it become a land grab for the greedy rich and their puppet politicians? I am doing okay, but there are a lot of people who aren't and they don't see anyone doing a damn thing about it.

What they have seen this week is a $500+ million of our hard earned tax dollars thrown down another corporate toilet with zero benefit to a single average joe. How about that stimulus package $800 billion and unemployment is still 9.1%. How about cash for clunkers, $50K of our tax dollars per vehicle and the average joe still has a brand new five year car payment to show for it. How about $700 billion to bailout bad mortgages, the banks got theirs and they still get the average joes house too. Our government is not the solution and they need to stop giving our hard earned dollars away.

The government is never the solution, just look at Obamacare. How many trillions will be spent to cover ~35 million people, half of which didn't want to be covered anyway? We need to put the feds back in their Constitutional box and take away their money. This is America and the failed income tax experiment needs to end. If you have a head tax then you have a limited budget and every American has skin in the game. I don't care how you do it straight tax, flat tax, fair tax, but everyone pays an equal share, not some nebulous fair share. We are all Americans and all equal under the law, that includes tax law.

If you limit the size of their pie they then have to make very hard decisions about what they can do with the money. They would stop giving away to bailout businesses that make really poor choices. They would stop propping up oil and gas, which make billions a year. They would end subsides to aggro-business. They would have to decide just how much military do we need to protect our boarders, vice police the world. They would see that SS and Medicare need to be privatized with market solutions because we should not and currently can not meet these obligations to our older generation. We need limited focused government, where every one is equal under the law (politicians included).

You want to fix this country then being an angry average joe and say enough! We the People is not just the ultra conservative right, but rather the pragmatic live and let live middle that wants a better life for themselves and their children. They currently don't see much hope in either party and only two candidates are saying anything worth listening to and that is Cain and Paul. You can continue to do the same thing over and over expecting different results or you can break free from the BS and find a new path. I am in the Cain camp because out of all the available choices he is the only one that understands the average joe.

I think it is funny that the Right isn't getting the fact that there are lots of angry voters still out there that don't necessarily share their view on social issues. The Tea Party is now firmly set to the Right, which leaves a lot of independents and democrats which are concerned with fiscal issues, but don't share the socially conservative point of view. I knew this would happen and it may cause an end of the fiscally conservative revolution in this country because everyone will drop back into their same old parties because they can't stomach the other side's social agenda.

This is particularly sad for us frugal Americans that just wanted to turn this country around from wasteful government spending and skyrocketing taxes. Instead the early bipartisan movement has been steadily replaced by a socially conservative agenda and purity tests. The "Occupiers of Wall Street" are pissed that things still suck after almost three years with the Joker, but they have no where to turn because the Tea Party now requires them to adopt a very conservative social stance which most won't accept. The very same things said about the early protesters of the Tea Party is being said again about the Occupiers. The said fact is that the end goal is the same fix Washington and bring this country back to solid footing financially. They may be focusing their attention on Wall Street, but this is just another head of the same beast.

The American people want to work and make a better life for themselves and their kids. This is actually no different than the average person the world around, but here in America we have things that are actively preventing this from happening. We have an out of control government and people getting rich at the expense of the average joe. The banks got bailed out, but the average joe still lost his house. Washington spends us into staggering debt, but the average joe loses his job. We need a new political movement and we need to focus on the real problem saving the average joe. We need to reign in the career criminals in Washington, the fat cats of Wall Street, and the crony capitalist. This is a three headed beast that conspires time and time again to screw the average joe. The funny thing is that it is now getting to the point that there is nothing left to steal, so now what.

If we are going to fix this country, we need to start fixing Washington, so they will stop taking the average joe's hard earned money and using it to bailout Wall Street and giving sweetheart deals to corporations that support their re-election campaigns. This ends now! It is time for the average joes of all social stripes to stand against government and business corruption and take back this country. We were founded on the idea that any average joe can succeed in this nation with hard work and determination. We the People need to return to this idea and leave the social engineering behind. We all succeed or fail by the sweat of our brows and refuse to look to the government for a handout. We refuse to allow our tax dollars to be wasted or to line the pockets of business.

Who will stand with me as an average joe or jane to say enough of this BS. We need to take America Back and make it again the land of opportunity. If any candidate doesn't see this as the major issue of the 2012 election then they should not even be running to lead this great nation. I think you can be social conservative and be an average joe or jane, but you can also be social pragmatic and maybe even slightly liberal and still be an average joe or jane. The buzz is generating on why Cain is a good choice and now another name is starting to get more attention and it isn't Christie, it is my old friend Marco Rubio. Rubio is going to be trouble for some of the "birther" slant because his parents were not born here. Some say he doesn't have enough experience to be even considered, but Rush doesn't seem to have any problem with this strong, principled, articulate conservative. It seems that we haven't found the breath of fresh air that we need in this face to mop the floor with the Joker. I think there are choices such as Cain, Rubio, Ryan, and even Perry or Palin that when properly paired could easily beat the crap out of the Joker. We need to keep our eye on the Senate to ensure even if the Joker wins in a miracle he can't do any more damage to the country.

The good news is that the silliness will end by the end of October because after that any late comer won't be able to get on the ticket in all 50 states. We will have to wait to Halloween before we know the final field, but by then it just may not matter. It will be fun to watch and see who does and does not get in and who throws support behind whom. The fun continues for another month.

Herman Cain Again

I have always loved me some Cain, but his stumbles earlier this year took him off my radar as a candidate. There are many that are now coming around to him, but as Palin says is he just a flavor of the week. I don't know, but he has rock solid principles and a head for fixing failing businesses. He just needs a better support staff that can help him from making silly statements and mistakes out on the trail. I would love to see him keep pushing to the top and mop the floor with the Joker. I just hope that now that the bright spotlight is upon him that he is ready for prime time and has a team around him that can keep him headed in the right direction. What we don't need is another Michelle Bachmann campaign in free fall.

This is a long process and there is no clear front runner for the nomination, so we might as well sit back and enjoy the show. Perry may have fatally shot himself in the foot, the anybody but Mitt crowd is going strong, and there always seems to be talk of Chris and Sarah. I do think that Cain is doing things very wisely by keeping his attacks on target and painting himself in contrast to the Joker. This is a very wise strategy because with Perry/Romney gut punching each other and shedding supporters left and right there needs to be a fresh choice available and the only one currently available is Cain.

This is the same reason that Christie and Palin continue to loom because there is an opening, but the question is are they willing to risk losing to the Joker. I don't think so. They both sit this one out and let it fall to Cain's shoulders. Palin's ego is too big to let that happen, so she should announce in the next week or so. Palin would be much better off throwing her support to Cain and helping him win the election, but it is all about her so I doubt that is going to happen. I have truly soured on Palin over the last year and it is becoming more than wearing that she hasn't bothered to step up and run or step back and support.

Time is running out for her or Christie to join the fight because the money that is sitting on the sidelines now is going to figure pretty soon that they need to back someone or risk Romney getting the nod. So bench warmers get your ass in the game and set the damn field already. That way we can say it is a four or five way race and let the voters decide, vice the damn press.

I am hearing some good rumblings about taking the Senate, which is another glimmer of hope. Plus, based on what MA democrats are running against Scott Brown, we should hold that seat as well. Maybe I was premature in losing faith in the voters. We the People are still in charge and we need to make our wishes known. I guess it might be fatigue or pacing oneself since the election is over a year away, but keep they rays of hope coming and we will power ourselves on to victory in 2012.

Solar power reference, we need to stop wasting money on manufactures and make it worth a person's own money to put it on their house or business. Getting rebates from the feds and state to put solar on the house allows people to buy/lease the systems, which is a far better business model than throwing huge dollars on manufacturing with no product demand. Solar will succeed far faster by word of mouth (lower cost) than wasted tax dollars.

Glimmer of Hope

One of the things that I said a long time ago was that we needed a third party of fiscal conservatives that would make up a powerful minority in Congress. The "Tea Party Republicans" are acting as that third party, sort of, and is making the Joker and the Clown Posse mad. This is a good start and we need to show these guys all the love we can because they have the full weight of the media, democrats, and RINOs arrayed against them. It will be hard to stay strong against your own party in particular, especially with sell outs hiding in all the corners. It is hard to be the only voice of reason in a town full of self-serving career criminals. If you get a chance take the time to thank them for their stand and help them financially if you can. This is how we turn this country around and it will take patience and money to defeat the big government progressives from both parties.

Stay strong Tea Party Freshman and know we stand with you. Don't let those of your own party betray you and make them pay for every inch you are forced to give. Don't be afraid to name names and let the country know who is twisting your arm to cave into the will of the big government progressives.

How about No Taxes at All?

I know that I said that I would be keeping a low profile, but two things that have struck me today that prevents me from holding my tongue. The first is the idea that tax the rich will solve our budget problem. I have always hated the progressive tax system and I am in favor of any flat or fair tax system because we are all Americans and we should all share in the cost of the government. If you have the government reaching into your pocket regularly, you have a much different view on its spending. We need a true tax overhaul that puts every American in the game, I know that this sound ever so cruel for the poorest among us. They are still Americans and share in everything in this country just like everyone else, so make the tax level reasonable for all and then cut government spending to match. This is a pretty simple solution, so it will never see the light of day. As an example, there are say 300 million citizens, where 200 million are over 18, so say $2000 per citizen over 18, which would provide the federal government a $400 billion budget. This would be a max tax burden for a poor family of $4000, so this isn't crazy bad but still pretty tough nut which would make a huge majority of the public give a shit how the government waste their money. There is also the flat tax and fair tax, which are straight percentages of wages or purchasing. These are both better than the current system, so I support them as well. I am fine with zero loophole and deductions 5% for every source of income. I haven't tackled corporate taxes, which should exist but much like the individual tax it should be a straight tax or a flat tax at an extremely low level. The only reason that America will not see any of this because there are special interests on all sides making the huge money and giving it to the politicians. If we as a nation want to fix this situation then the answer is KISS and throwing the career criminals out of office.

The second issue is more along the lines of yesterday's post, in the presidential election we need a candidate. Now there that Perry is in full free fall, Romney is anyone but, and currently there is no one in the race that has a chance again the Joker. Here are five names Perry, Romney, Cain, Christie, and of course Palin, let here why anyone should or shouldn't support any of these guys. Everyone of them is fatally flawed and has very little chance of defeating the Joker, but as always I am open to being swayed. I still think we need to work our asses off on keeping the House and winning the Senate with fiscal conservatives. I want to here what you all have to say on both of these issues because I am losing faith in America's ability to right itself. Give a brother some hope that I am not the only one feeling this way.

Sitting Out

As you might have notice that I have been sitting out on things recently because of two things. First I am busy and I am spending my free time with my wife. Secondly, I am feeling fatigued by the whole process. Either we are too dumb to realize that we have to grow up or we just steadfastly choose to ignore the truth, but it doesn't matter which because the result is the same. We have poor choices to oppose the Joker and frankly it still probably doesn't matter because he is still likely to win re-election because of all those that blindly support him regardless how shitty things have gotten.

We don't have a candidate that can hold their own on the Republican side and that means the Joker will mop the floor with them next year. I really don't believe that there is a miracle worker sitting on the bench just waiting to jump in. Don't say Palin because women hate her, so good luck getting her elected in a country that is 51% female. I had this feeling and stated it here several times that unless the economy completely cratered that the Joker would win re-election and it seems to coming true.

The economy is bad, but the MSM hides the truth for the Joker. The American people are still in love with him, so the dynamics of the last presidential election are still in place. You have a solid block voting at 95% for him just because he is a black democrat and that isn't going to change (see CBC treatment). You have at best a weak field of opposition and he will eat both Perry and Romney for breakfast based on recent performances by both. It is almost too late to go to the bench because time is running out and we are down by three scores. Add to that you have only a bunch of washed up vets, green ass rookies, and a couple of banged up questionable talent players on the bench.

The only thing I can see is once again we need to focus on the House and the Senate. I have said it before that this is the key to the future and turning this thing around. The core fiscal conservatives in the House are doing their job, so we now need to get them help in the Senate. If we own the House and Senate, we can make the Joker dance to our tune (see Bill Clinton) because every narcissist is only worried how they will be remembered in the history books. It would be much better to make him a one term president, but we are pissing that opportunity away with the team we are fielding currently.

You have to either bring your A game or focus on winning the long term battle. Since we don't apparently have an A game, then we need to focus on winning the Senate and start forcing the Joker to bend to our will. He can either sign the bills he is given or be solely responsible for shutting down the government, further rating decreases, throwing granny off the cliff, and any other bad thing. Clinton was a POS as fully demonstrated by the impeachment thing, but he signed a lot of bills that the Republicans forced upon him. The fact that the dumb bastards got greedy and started spending like they were democrats is a whole other post.

We must focus on putting small government fiscal conservatives into the Senate and keeping the "Tea Party" caucus together in the House. We do that and we still have a chance of saving this country in spite of the Joker. Fail on either front then this country is banana republic bound with hyperinflation and no way to service the debt other than huge tax increases and austerity budget cuts. I am ok with budget cuts, but can't stomach any more taxes.

So, I will continue to keep a low profile while all this BS continues and wait until my state's primary season to ensure a fiscal conservative is selected. All politics is local, so unless we can convince more people to dump their liberal Senator, then all this is just smoke and mirrors. Good luck America because either we take the Senate in 2012 or face a global financial meltdown that makes 2008 look like a spit in the ocean.

I played for a local legend coach and he did the same thing to a couple of senior defensive starters, they broke the rules and they were off the team for their entire senior year. Playing high school or college sports is a privilege and not a right. If you want to argue about all the money that is around corrupting college athletics, I couldn't agree with you more, but it starts and ends with the parents and fans. If parents provided the discipline that these kids need then they wouldn't be out in bar fights, stealing computers, or God knows whatever else. The fact that every athlete thinks they are a star bigger than the rules of society, school, or the law, this is the core problem. We need more stories of wrecked futures and how there are serious consequences to breaking rules.

With my coach, you knew that if you stepped over the line you were gone and the same seems to be true of Bear Bryant. It is a tough road to travel because there will be many second guessers out there saying if he hadn't of done that we would have won ______. This is what is wrong in the world today both on and off the field. We have to take responsibility for our own actions and there must be consequences for failure to abide by the rules. The fact that your playing days could be over for good for failure to meet the rules is oh so draconian, how can we remove such a bright future for so underprivileged a child. This attitude leads to inappropriate adult behaviors (Pacman Jones) or even worse. Where are the cautionary tales of broken dreams? If you are a criminal that feels you are above the law because you play a game and then are actually allowed to be above the law, then America you reap what you sow.

I know that athletic scholarships are a ticket out, but at what cost to the society left behind. If you reward a criminal, then what modifies behavior to prevent worse the next time around? If a star athlete is kicked off the team and loses their ticket out, then maybe the next up and coming star thinks twice about breaking the rules. This goes for all areas of life. If the career criminals in Washington are allowed to continue in their corruption then there is little incentive for the new guys to be any different or even worse. WE THE PEOPLE have every right and responsibility to police our representatives and to enforce the rule of law and decency. We need to throw the career criminals out, it may take a few cycles, but it is absolutely necessary to show that there is a standard of behavior that is acceptable and failure to meet it has consequences. I know that currently there is only a small group that feels this way, but leveling the playing field has a tendency to expand the feeling because equality is in front of the law is a very basic tenet of America.

Restoring the American Dream is going to take hard work and sacrifice because that is the American Dream, hard work and sacrifice are a ticket to success and a brighter future. You don't just get the golden ticket by bypassing the system and having the law look the other way, we as Americans love a winner, but we love an underdog winner even more because that is America. We went from a rag-tag group of rebels to the top of the heap by fight for equality, freedom, and the rule of law. We were the shining light of possibility for the whole world, but now we are a bloated lawless bunch that only worries about what we can get for free. We need to remember and fight for the freedom of opportunity, but not regulate the outcome. We need to know that we all play by the same rules and our hard work will result in reward. We need to know that if we work hard and follow the rules that we have and equal chance of success and that no one, star athlete or politician, is above the law. I have felt this way for some time and this election cycle and all the happening in the NCAA only show that constantly rewarding bad behavior has dire consequences.

If the NCAA truly wanted to fix the problem then they would make the consequences extremely dire for the cheaters and the lawless, but not just the "underprivileged" athlete but the school as a whole. You cheat or condone it then you are out big money from TV contracts, you don't have football or basketball for a few years (SMU). The students could go to other schools and the administrators and coaches could be fired. I know this can't be allowed because the rich and powerful will not allow it, but if you make the consequences dire enough behaviors will change. Ohio States loses a bunch of key players for a bowl game, then maybe the next time they think twice about breaking the rules. I am talking about Ohio State the University not just the team, if they aren't allowed to be on TV or compete in a championship or they lose the sport for a few years and all the associated money, then maybe they would find following the rules a good idea. This will of course never happen because we are talking billions of dollars and no one wants to see that money tap turned off. It is similar with Congress, the corrupt ones keep getting re-elected because of all the money and power and who really wants to see that tap turned off by electing a newbie freshman that knows nothing about how things "work" in Washington.

I don't hold out a lot of hope for the future of this country because I don't think we are serious about fixing our problems. We get all squeamish when it comes to fixing entitlements and putting this country back on solid footing. We can't allow our team or interest to suffer because we don't have our star player or career criminal making sure we get ours. Good luck America, we had a good run, but the clock is running down and we have a long way to go to recover.

I have been sitting on the sidelines for a few weeks now because I have been busy trying to make a living and enjoying the wonderful summertime in PHX. I find it interesting that no matter who is running for President against the Joker, they are a better choice. This is a pretty simple and straight forward fact. I would take someone who isn't fully polished over a great teleprompter any day. I would take someone that has actual experience over the empty suit that now occupies the White House. No one candidate is going to be perfect on every single count, but some are going to be better than others on somethings. I don't care if it is Perry or Rubio or Ryan, as long as they win and remove the Joker form office. I like Palin and Bachmann, but it will be too close to call with them because of the negatives they have with the independents. Sure Ryan scared the crap out of the old people, but if he's on the ticket then he will get a national megaphone to tell his side of the story. Rubio is it just because he is! He will be our next VP and he will mop the floor with Joe. Perry isn't perfect, but right now we need a cowboy that is willing to the pull the trigger. We need some American swagger that we've lost thanks to the Joker. We need to put fear back into the heart of our enemies and show the world America is still alive and kicking. Is Perry perfect? Hell no, but who is and if we keep clawing at each other's throats, we will get four more with the Joker.

I have said it before and I guess I will have to keep saying, we need to pick a team Perry/Rubio or Perry/Ryan or Perry/Palin and then proceed to kick the crap out of the Joker and his Clown Posse Media. If we are in it to win it, then we need to get our act together and stomp the crap out of the liberals and keep stomping all the way to the White House. We need solid plans and commitments that the American public can actually point to and rally around. We need the Ryan plan out there showing us a path to turn this mess around, we need to slaughter sacred cows and cut tax rates while closing every damn loophole regardless. We need to have every American paying some tax, so they have skin in the game. We need to stop having 50% pay while 50% take, that is utter BS. Would you join a club where on you had to pay a membership, but have of the other members didn't. Doesn't sound fair does it! This is America, we all play by the same rules and we should all have a part in paying for it. So close every last one of those sweetheart loopholes and that includes home mortgage deduction. Lower the tax rate to make up the difference, so I can actually pay my mortgage and taxes without having to decide whether I get to eat or not. Make the bottom bracket in the 3-5% range and though I absolutely hate it make it go up from there progressively. They don't get tax reform without first getting spending reform, which means a balanced budget and entitlement reform.

We can fix this country if we want to and it going to take a cowboy or a hunter to make it happen. We need a fiscal policy wonk on the team and we need people that are going to tell us the truth about the sad state of our government. Like Chris Christie said, the party is over and they money's all gone. He can't help that the previous bunch of politicians lied, but the truth is the money is gone, so we need to figure out how to move forward from here. Fight amongst ourselves and we will be waiting until 2016 and by then it might be too late to save this great republic. YOU DECIDE!

I would take this idea one step further, if there were such an animal then why not dump both parties and have the fiscal conservatives build their own party out of the refuse of both liar parties. We do need non-leftist Democrats, but the tent as currently constructed with a social conservative doorman isn't going to win big elections. We need a big fiscal conservative tent that loves every limited government patriot alike and lets those things that divide us to come later once we get our financial house in order. I know I have said this all before, but there are a lot of unhappy fiscally conservative Democrats that are hard working and hate government waste as much as the fiscally conservative Republicans. We have to stop pushing them away with purity tests and making our message so unpalatable to squishy middle independents and Reagan Democrats. If you force everyone to bow down to the "gay marriage & abortion" far right then regardless of the great ideas you have on fixing the economy will never see the light of day because you won't win a general election. The squishy middle is willing to have a social conservative in office, but they don't want a social conservative crusader in office. The most of the American public knows what is right deep down, but beating them up constantly doesn't win them over. There are positions that you can take that don't violate your social conservative principles, while not making people run from a right wing theocracy. Reagan was able to strike a balance, so why run people off with purity tests unless you would rather keep the Joker and the Insane Clown Posse in office for four more years.

It is time to pick a winner and support the heck out of them all the way to the White House. The Joker is on the ropes and now is the time to knock his dumb ass out. We need fiscal sanity now and we can deal with slavery (social issues) later. Our Founding Fathers knew this and so in order to form a more perfect union they let some things slide, even thought they were evil and destructive. You don't fix every thing overnight and you sure don't fix anything by losing big elections. The landslide in 2010 was for fiscal conservatives, which mostly come from the social conservative backgrounds, but Presidential elections are about having a solid message that resonates with the squishy middle. I am not saying flip-flop all over the place, but focus on being fiscally conservative and have a solid plan. I hate RINOs as much as anyone, but because they are really CINOs and they believe bigger government is better. Kill off big government, end wasting tax dollars, and putting Americans back to work, stick to how you solve those problems and regardless of your personal feelings on abortion or gay marriage you will win in 2012. This isn't rocket science people, the voters are fed up and need real change. They took a chance on a socialist in moderate clothing and you see where that go us, so this time why not a conservative in fiscal conservative clothing.

I hope this helps clear up where I think we need to head in the up coming months and how we are going to win the White House. I know that there are a whole lot of people out there that think that abortion first everything else second wins the day, but that just isn't a current reality. We have let the progressives drag this country too far down the sewer to think one or two elections are going to turn this country around. We need a strong fiscal policy back by a strong Judeo-Christian backbone, but it will take time to undo 100 years of progressivism and you can't prevent people from joining the team because their judgement is clouded by years of brainwashing by the left. You love them and bring them in and show them a better way. Once you cloth and feed them, then you can show them where this wonderfulness comes from. You can't tell an out of work, drunk, hungry man that he should save money, so it is with this failing country. People need jobs, so you can't tell them that preventing abortion is all important. You need to apply conservative principles to get people working again, then show them why be conservative works. I am a firm believer in the teaching they will know us by our love, so I love America and I want to fix it, but I also know being negative and hateful won't make that happen.

Here is a funny thing, the feds are going to go after the medical marijuana people with vigor, while ignoring the boarder. As a citizen of a newly approved medical marijuana state and one that has boarder issues, I would think that the government should spend a hell of a lot more resources protecting our boarders than attacking small businessmen. Medical marijuana had its day on the ballot and the voice of the people spoke. They feel that it is something they want in their state, so why is nanny state big government blindly ignoring the will of the people and attacking such easy targets? That answer is easy, it shows they are doing something. It doesn't matter how wrong headed and stupid it is, they are still doing something. AZ also passed a law to protect its boarders and to enforce the law, but you don't see the Joker and his Insane Clown Posse wasting their time enforcing immigration laws or protecting our boarder. As a topper to the cake this morning the guns from Fast & Furious are now showing up on Phoenix streets. That just goes to show that based on the evidence the Joker and his Posse are in bed with the Mexican Drug Cartels and are waging war on AZ. This just goes to show that you never know where you will end up once you start connecting the dots. This wasn't a complicated or difficult path either and the Joker fully supports his war on AZ, so maybe AZ should take a page from the Texas playbook and cede out of the union, since like in Libya the Joker is running an unauthorized/illegal war against us.

Are we so arrogant to think that no one in the world other than America has good ideas? Here is Chile allowing it's citizens to choose their retirement plan of market base private plans with government oversight. Seems a hell of a lot better than no choice and government theft. I wrote some time back about Portugal decriminalizing drug use, which has proven extremely successful there, so recently there have been calls to do the same here. We used to be a melting pot and were willing to accept new ideas, but it seems we have allowed ourselves to think we know better than everyone else and our quickly headed down the road to ruin. I think we need to scour the globe to find real solution that are proven winners and get off our lazy ass and make them work here.
As an example Japan builds better cars, Ford figured this out and has improved its quality and is selling more cars, GM ignores this fact and still builds crappy cars and requires a massive bailout. Here is another one, you want more businesses to HQ in your country you lower your corporate tax rate, just like Canada or you can keep making doing business expensive and hard like here. We need to wake up and realize the business as usual in America isn't going to cut it anymore and it is time to start fixing the problems instead of keep punting them down the road.
Solve Social Security by gutting the bloat government agency, allow people choice, and a huge influx of capital into the market, sounds like winner, winner chicken dinner to me. Want to save Medicare then take the money out of Washington's grubby paws and put it back in the peoples hands. Have a private medical IRA system that our money goes into and earns interest on until we need it when we are old or major medical need. When you partner this with a high deductible major medical, you again have another winner. So by taking Washington mostly out of the equation, we have winning solutions to two huge debt producing problems that actually meet people's long term needs.
Why neither of these will ever happen, the government needs your money to control you! If they can't control you than what is the fun in that. We need to force new ideas into these chuckle heads and see our way to a new and brighter future. If the AARP wants the status quo then let them have it, but everyone under 55 should have the option of taking charge and saving for our own future. Market mutual funds for savings and medical IRAs are two solutions that would save America from itself, so are we too proud to accept other people's ideas or are we willing to embrace good ideas regardless of point of origin? I want to here what you guys have to say on this.

Here is another take on Rick Perry, so the crowd is pretty divided on the Gov.'s conservative/moderate resume. I like that jobs are being created, but there are some real troubling things in his history as pointed out in the article. I wonder if Gov. Perry is worth a look only because he has a darn good shot at dethroning the Joker. I am current leaning for a Ryan ticket, but he isn't in yet so the speculation continues. Of the declared it appears that Romney is slowly building momentum, which is not a good thing and Michelle is powerhouse. But just like Palin the media will crucify her over thing she has ever said, which will scare the crap out of the squishy middle that swing elections. This election cycle plain sucks because we have a golden opportunity to take all three, but lack a worthy leader to turn this country around. I think Ryan with the backing of a conservative Congress might be our only prayer, but he isn't in yet so we continue to wander in the desert of bad choices.

Here is an interesting take on Rick Perry and if you go to the article the comments are worth reading. There is a lot of RINO talk, but there is also talk about his passion and abilities. For me the jury is still out on Perry, but he might be able to defeat the Joker which goes a very long way in the right direction. The true trick is to back him with a House and Senate that are truly fiscal conservatives and not party hacks, unlike the first 6 years with Bush.

With another one biting the dust once the rock was lifted, who will be our champion to face the Joker? There is a movement a foot to draft Paul Ryan to run, which isn't a bad idea and the idea get better when you add Rubio to the ticket. He would be a dynamic well spoken, knowledgeable team that would clean the floor with the Joker. I will be interested to see if they can convince this family man to put his life on hold to run. He is the only one that can sell his plan and the truth as I see it is that his plan was crafted in such a way that once the compromises start flying America benefits.

He didn't touch Defense or modify the tax structure, which are likely going to be forced by the Democrats during the backroom wrangling. By keeping them out of his plan, it gives the Dumocrats areas for victory that makes them more likely to play along. There has to be tax reform and defense spending cuts in any final plan, but why open with those when you know that is going to be the first demand of the other side.

Ryan has played this very well and the Democrats aren't going to be able to sell Mediscare, if they are going face to face with Ryan because he will rip them a new one. He is for ending the Washington fat and waste to send the money directly to the States, which is what should happen anyway because why do we need Washington dictating how we take care of our people in our neighborhoods. People have a heck of a lot more influence in the statehouse than they do in Washington.

Adding Rubio to the ticket makes a youthful dynamic duo that people can get behind and they have what it takes to unseat the Joker. That isn't to say that if Perry does run that it would be easy for either team because Perry does bring a lot to the table and does come from Texas. Perry brings a record of jobs, which is an extremely important issue in what will be four years of stagflation and recession. I do think that if Perry does jump in then we better be bringing a solid plan or Ryan/Rubio will have his lunch based on facts being on their side.

The what ifs are crazy right now because the field is so unknown and appears weak, but with the likes of Cain already in it will be one focused on true change in American politics and if either Perry or Ryan jump in then we are off to the races with winning horses on hot button issues with middle America. We need to get control on government spending (Ryan) and need to get America working again (Perry), so iron sharpens iron and we might just get a solid platform that America can rally around. Cain brings business savvy, Ryan government fiscal policy, and Perry job growth, so how could anyone not like the eventual nominee's chances if they draw from such a pool in talent to form their message. At this point, I really don't give a crap who wins on the Republican side as long as they depose the Joker. I know that is the wrong attitude for some, but the fact that remains America will be better off with a RINO (God forbid) than with the Joker in charge.

I will never forget back in the 2006 midterms after Bush got a ‘thumpin, Rush apologized and vowed that he NEVER AGAIN carry the water for anybody, because Rush realized – too late – that his constant shilling for Bush is what got us Democrat control in ’06.
On that day, Rush seemed to have a very keen understanding of how influential he is because a lot of voters who don’t pay only variable attention to the daily grind of political debate and therefore depend on him for their opinions because they trust him.
Lately though, because of how bad Obama is, Rush has been upping the ante and carrying the water again.
Rush’s latest entry into this is his 20 minutes of (ignorant) aspirations and projection for Rick Perry.
If Perry were to be nominated, here are the big government liberal policies of Rick Perry that Rush would have to defend:
-grew the size of government by 85%,
-increased taxes and fees by one billion$ (and that is before this session),
-tripled the State debt,
-supported the Trans Texas Corridor, the biggest land grab in history with crony deals going to his buddies,
-vetoed a good eminent domain bill and only later supported a watered down version (that still gives his crony buddies special favors) after the Farm Bureau and others gave him hell..
Now if you want the national media to dig in and compare Obama to Perry and the scant differences between them on these vital economic issues, then go right ahead and get millions of buckets ready to carry water because you will need them.
And don’t tell me this mantra that the governor here doesn’t have much power…it’s called the fricking veto pen!! Perry takes credit for this “economic growth” and it’s only incrementaly better than say California because the left coast liberals are far worse!!
I have spoken to the governor personally and I hear many party operatives complaints that are the same as mine: Perry promises much but delivers never enough to keep voters happy, it’s always us having to worry what game he is going to come up with next wherein he can screw us behind our backs..!!
You can go to the Austin inner circle conservative Republicans where you will find that every candidate ran against Perry’s economic “achievements” because they are mediocre at best.

Here is the thing, we need a leader and someone to rally the troops around if we are going to have a chance of ridding ourselves of the Joker. So far, the Republican field has shown us they are completely unworthy of our support for a number of reasons. The weak Republican field almost assures us of four more years with the Joker. We need a proven leader that understands how government should work and how to reign in the craziness that is Washington.

You are not going to get that with Washington insiders or the current set of retreads. I can honestly say that with the departure of Huckabee and the Donald things have become much clearer that we are completely screwed because Romney and Daniels are the "best" of the rest. I love me some Herman Cain and he is likely to announce Saturday at Noon. While he will make the primaries interesting that is about as far as he goes because of his lack of name recognition and money raising. You don't win the Presidency if you don't raise money by the truckload and you can't raise money if only a handful of Americans even know who you are. Those of us who know his name love him, but that doesn't win elections.

We need someone that everyone can rally around that knows how to get the job done. As always, I want to hear from you as to why not Rick Perry and if not who would make a better choice. I am glad that we don't have a clear front runner out of this current crop of candidates and we might just be able to recruit someone, if it looks like they have a chance at winning. The way the Joker is going, he is likely to face the Clinton machine in the primary and could lose. Wouldn't that make for an interesting general election.

I know that I haven't blogged in quite some time, but life gets in the way sometimes. I am hearing a lot of rumblings about our economic future and lots of stuff about how we can fix this and that to prevent the pending economic collapse of America. The first thing we need to do is grow up and start thinking and acting like adults with brains in our heads. You can't get there from here by only cutting some spending and letting other things go. We need across the board cuts to start and deep to the bone cuts on things we can. We should be looking at how and where every single dollar of our tax money is spent and force those spending it to explain why. We should be having Congressional hearings everyday until every single dollar is accounted for and justified. The fact that we can't account for $100 Billion from last year is complete BS and the fact that the Pentagon says there is no way to audit them also is BS.

I want to hold the government accountable for every one of my dollars they spend and then we should shine the light of day on why they are spending it. This is just the first step of many to put us back on the road of fiscal responsibility, but it is one that must happen. An across the board cut of 10% per year until the budget is balanced and the national debt is being serviced is not unreasonable especially since we are so far in the hole that any principle service on the national debt would be an improvement over running it up. We then take our new found knowledge of where our money is going and put each department to a vote by bring its appropriation bill to the floor. It would prove very interesting to see how the voters feels about there money being thrown down the toilet, so some pompous ass can pull in large six figures and tell us how much we need him/her department to make our lives better. I am betting that this alone would cut our budget the needed forty percent. We do this every year and we might just be able to cut enough to start paying off our debt.

With all that said, we need to reform the tax code to make it extremely simple and easy to understand with zero loopholes and special benefits. We need every American to pay something in taxes because if it is your money being flushed down the toilet you care a hell of a lot more than if it is some "rich" person's money. We need to slash corporate income tax to less than 15% and eventually all the way to zero. This is crazy talk, but if you want jobs then you make is a nice place to do business by allowing companies the ability to make some money by lowering their costs. Taxes are a cost to companies, which they pass on to their customer in the form of higher prices. These higher prices make it difficult to compete in a global market where you can lower your costs by using super cheap labor and going to countries with low corporate taxes. Canada our neighbor to the North has figured this out and has lowered their corporation income tax to 15%, even with socialized medicine, so why can't we at least match them or do them one better with 10%. Our economy runs on money and that takes jobs, so lets make America a job creator vice a job destroyer.

Now back to the individual tax thing, we need to set up a system where everyone pays and for now I am willing to concede a progressive system to get the damn thing passed, but with a top rate of 25%. We need to close every good deal and make paying taxes painful, so that everyone is pissed about having to hand their hard earned dollars over to the greedy politicians. This would immediately change how people feel about Washington and they would sure and the hell make better choices in the voting booth. Paying taxes should piss people off and they should care what their government is doing with their money. There should be no free rides in America. If you are poor you should only have to pay a minimum sustainment tax of 1-5%, you can debate the level. As you go up the scale then you add 5% to each bracket until you reach the top level of 25%. You can of course make it 5%, 15%, and 25% with no deductions period. I prefer 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%, so you can adjust the levels with the economy.

The final piece of the puzzle is capping the government at 15% of GDP until the national debt is retired and 18% of GDP with zero deficit spending. That is 40% less than what we are spending today, but it would prevent us from adding to the debt. Revenue has historically been about 18% of GDP, until the Joker took over and ran it up to 25% of GDP. That isn't to say that the wunderkind of the previous years hadn't been busting out 20% of GDP with the same 18% of GDP as revenue. Regardless of what anyone tells you, we don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. So to fix this mess we need to seriously cut spending!!!

Now that I have said my piece here is how things are really going to happen over the next few years, we will get less than 2% cuts in spending to bring us down to 23% of GDP and we will get taxes hikes of at least 2% of GDP and that mostly from anyone making more than 75K a year. This will still leave us 3% in deficit which will keep piling onto the national debt to the point no one will believe that we will pay it back, so interest rates will start to soar. We will get hyper-inflation and our economy will crash down around our ears, the rest of the world will suffer as well. There will be much rejoicing on the left for capitalism will have failed us and only socialism (Red China) can save us. We will pass austerity measures and cut our budgets to the bone and Granny is going to lose about half her government promised benefits because the well is dry. It ain't going to be pretty, but it is a matter of pay me now or pay me much more later. We still think that we can nibble around the edges and everything is going to be okay, but that just isn't true and unless we get serious about cutting there is zero hope in avoiding a crash and depression that is sure to follow. There will be no war to pull us out of our third world decay and since we are no longer hardy pioneer stock, we will just starve to death in streets since everything will be taken by the banks. We have to change our ways or there is no future for us or our children because we didn't want to grow up and face the truth.

I guess I had a lot to say. That happens when you store up. I have no doubt that the gang of six, er five, will come to some lame compromise that doesn't nearly address the issue and applies a single band aid to a sucking chest wound. We need serious surgery and it make take losing a limb or two to save the rest of us, but it has to be done or we die. Playtime is over and the time for smoke and mirrors is done. How's that $100 billion in spending cuts feeling right about now, can hardly feel it at all huh? If you think you are going to see trillions, then I have some nice ocean front property here in Arizona to sell you.

If you don't have a lot of gas tax revenue in your state then you really don't need a lot of new roads now do you, so lets stop sending our money to Washington to be stolen or wasted. The fact that people think it is okay for Washington to have anything to do with education is ridiculous. The only thing that Washington should be doing about highways is ensuring that there are interstates and that the trucks driving on them are safe. They should not be deciding which local roads and bridges are built and they sure and the hell should not be spending a dime of my gas tax in Alaska or WV for roads that no one needs or even wants. If we want to change the future, we need to return the power to the states and cities where we can actually be heard and obeyed (and I did say obeyed because last I checked they are our elected representatives not our lords).

Will It Take A New Political Party to Save America?

Some very interesting thoughts on how the new party will emerge on the scene due to the bungling by the current Republican "leadership". They keep collapsing like a Walmart made in China lawn chair and they will cease to exist as a party. We are going to end up with two new parties or possibly three or more parties. The fiscal conservatives in this country have had enough of Washington smoke and mirrors. They have also had enough of the weak Republicans, so 2012 is the Republican party's last chance to change things and based on current events it doesn't look like they get it yet. They haven't picked a strong fiscal conservative to rally around and they are making weak ass deals on spending at every turn. Them pissing on my foot and telling me it is raining is getting very tiresome and I am fully ready for a serious change. If the Republicans keep backing losers that are strictly job seekers then they deserve to become extinct. The Democrats have made their bed and they are firmly in the socialist camp, so there are some Americans that were associated with center of the Democrats that need a new home and it won't be the far right wing nut party. Looking into my crystal ball, you will either have two parties the progressive and fiscal conservative or this thing will fracture all over the place and you will have the socialist democrats, centrist/moderates, fiscal conservatives, and the far right all out conservatives.

If it breaks down that way the two in the middle will be divided by abortion or maybe not, the two extreme parties will be on the fringe canceling each other out. The rise of the center is a good thing and most Americans want responsible government, but are also compassionate to a point. The Democrats and Republicans could save their parties by pushing their extremes to the sidelines, but neither is willing to do so because they are needed to win primaries. The good news is that there is a new wind blowing and maybe it will be the fiscal conservatives on all sides that will washout the corruption and stupidity in Washington. I am okay dealing with moderates and fiscal conservatives because they balance each other in the middle vice the extremes we are seeing now. We could accomplish a hell of a lot more if we stopped swinging widely from left to right and focused on cutting the waste down the middle. We need serious minded people to look at the revenues and the expenditures, then cut to make them match. I've said it before and recent polls have proven me out that Americans are willing to pay taxes, but they abhor government wasteful spending. We need to cut spending first, then reform the tax code, and then reform entitlements. We have so far failed at step one, so until we actually make the cuts we cannot proceed to step two, and we can't even begin to talk about entitlements until we have a solid plan on one and two.

I love Paul Ryan's plan as a jumping off point for moving forward, but we can't have a serious talk about entitlements until we are serious about spending cuts. Americans are ready to cut off granny's meds until every other possible cut has been made because we are compassionate people that want to live up to our obligations. If you want to talk about granny's meds you have better cut out all the other government BS first, then you can tinker with granny's meds. You say we can't balance the budget without tinkering with granny's meds, then show me by cutting everything else to the bone first and then we will know how far we have to go in medicare, medicaid, and social security. Starting in on those three while you are pissing away billions elsewhere is a non-starter with millions of Americans. If you want support for entitlement reform fix the rest of wasteful government first then you can tackle granny's meds. I guess that puts me solidly in the middle with the moderates, while still being a fiscal conservative that wants to get Washington under control. I currently don't see anything they are offering as worthy of our votes. Fix it now and keep working it until we have balanced the budget and paid off the national debt, but start with the billions upon billions in other spending first. That way I will know you are serious and I will have more confidence in your ability to take on entitlements.

How I digress, but it is fundamental to the starting premise. The Democrats as they now exist are not going to take on big government's wasteful spending and apparently neither are the current crop of Republicans, so come 2012 we can vote to change the dynamic or vote for more of the same. If the vote is for more of the same, then expect significant political upheaval in 2014 and 2016. It takes time and several election cycles to make a change in the system, but it is possible. The current Republican party is unlikely to survive if it doesn't get serious about cutting spending because too many average Americans are sick and tired of wasteful government spending. They will seek to find those who will do what it takes and the Tea Party is on the rise in the middle, most are fiscal and social conservatives but there is room in the middle for even more fiscal conservatives because this country has millions of them just waiting to support fiscal sanity.

Wow, I am not a fan of Facebook, but my lovely wife happens to be. I just like my privacy after so many years of having none, so I'm not into the whole social networking things and I don't connect with people I used to know online except for the occasional email. I am amazed at the herd mentality of allowing so many people to track you and now to share your pictures with them automatically. This is insane.

You have no idea what kind of crazies are out there that now know what you look like and where you are. It wouldn't take too long to figure out that you are home alone or near a dark alley. Since when did America raise a bunch of dumbasses? Back when I was a kid there were crazies, but they were pretty spread out and you rarely heard about them except when they did something super crazy (think Mason). Now you here about every crazy and how many bodies they have stacked up and all the while we make it easier and easier for them to hunt. Think about all those sick bastards that they catch trying to hook up with 14 year old kids. Before the internet they had to go out in public to hunt and people could see them and stay away or they would be caught and put away. Now they can sit in their underwear and hunt little kids to molest in the comfort of their home. Don't get me started on rapist/murders because we can't talk about that. Girls purposely put themselves on display all over the media, which is like a smorgasbord to these killer freaks.

We have to start using some common sense and start teaching our children to value themselves as individuals and not just one of the herd. Because you know what happens to herd animals, they get eaten by predators (in some cases literally eaten). I guess I am just too old to get it, so I will shut up now.

An interesting article on where we go from here and why we should look to our roots for direction. Though I am disappointed that greater cuts were not made during this last round of the budget battle, I know that there are several more battles on the horizon. We the People need to gird (love that word) our loins (love this one too) and prepare for war. We have already fired the first shot with the Republican budget for 2012. Though there maybe things you don't agree with in it, there is a heck of a lot of what is right in there as well. We need to stand shoulder to shoulder with Paul Ryan as a bristling porcupine of lances. This united defense is needed as the the leftist archers and cavalry of the MSM attack. We don't need to be tearing down the ramparts from the inside to make their job easier. We don't need to supply the socialist and progressive with any additional ammo. The last battle was the coastal barrage ahead of the invasion force. The 2012 budget is our sanity invasion beachhead. The Congress needs to belly up and pass this thing right away because it will give us the high ground. We will need this citadel to fight from because they will be attacking from all sides using the MSM and the unions. We can mow down the competition's ill fated charge against adult decisions, but only if we stick together. The Democrats will look pretty stupid calling for more and more debt, while we continue to advance and keep winning ground.

As a side note: there are a lot of people worried about the poor because of the changes proposed for Medicaid, but I wonder how much more money each poor family will see if Washington is wasting billions in bureaucracy and the States use the money to the maximum benefit of the people. The sickest and the poorest will continue to get what they need, but now the source is closer to them so they can have more say. Funny how we have forgotten that the government closest to us is the most responsive to our needs. If I walk into the Mayor's office or the city counsel chamber at every opportunity and if I bring a couple of hundred of like minded voters, stuff happens pretty darn quick. If you work on the state level it takes thousands and on the federal level it takes millions, so who do you want controlling your health care?

The next battle is the vote on the debt ceiling and that is one we need to be ready for and marshaling the troops for a massive attack. It is a battle that can fundamentally change the direction of this country by forcing a balanced budget amendment. The Democrats and the President are going to look pretty stupid when they refuse to support an amendment because there are a whole lot of them on record opposing raising the debt ceiling when they were in the minority. This is where the true warriors are going to emerge and shape our future. These two battles are going to change the course of America and we need to be ready. Will it be easy? No! Are we likely to win either? No, but we must still fight knowing that we are winning ground that will help us win the war. The Democrats are going to fight hard and scare the crap out of people that aren't paying close attention because they will have air superiority thanks to the MSM. But we can use this to our advantage because sane people will see how unfit they are to make adult decisions about America's future. People right now are seriously concerned about getting America back to work and growing the economy, Obama, Pelosi and Reid have already ceded the high ground with their failure to turn the economy around with huge government spending. We need to show people how cutting wasteful spending and fixing the tax code will put money back in their pockets and making America a better place to do business. These are two chief weapons and we need to use them to show how they will grow jobs. It will also drive a stake into the heart of the Reid controlled Senate and put our goal of winning the Senate in 2012 well within our reach. Getting rid of General Joker is going to be a lot tougher battle that we have to end up working around because the independent voters out there currently don't have a clear choice and they may opt for the devil they know. Even if General Joker retains the White House, he can only veto so many bills before he looks like an obstructionist idiot. So we need to focus our firepower on the winning enough seats in the Senate to render his veto not worth the paper it is written on.

With the high ground established we need to prepare the battle space. We the People need protect ourselves from the aerial assaults of the MSM by strengthening our communications lines via the internet. A well coordinated communication plan that covers all areas where the average citizen seeks information and entertainment is needed (Facebook, YouTube, etc.). We need to ensure the truth gets out and we have already shown it is possible with the Van Jones situation. The air war is going to be vicious, as they seek to target our parents and grandparents. We need to capture the mercenary troops of the AARP and turn them into allies in this fight. We can't allow the Democrats to keep buying mercenaries with our tax dollars. We also need to drill our troops to surge into the breach to repel the cavalry charges of the leftist unions. This worked well in WI and it will keep working as there are a lot more of us then there are of them. We will be able to prevent the union cavalry from riding in and overwhelming our ground troops.

We will be fighting from the high ground, so we need to hold it by firing back again and again with truth. We need to make their battle an uphill struggle against millions of well informed angry voters that are tired of seeing their hard earned money being wasted in Washington. We need to be ready for some loses over the next few months, but always keeping in mind that victory is still within in grasp. We need to make the Democrats bleed support every step of the way. They will attack our supply lines by trying to cut off our voices and disrupt our communications. They will try to confuse us and blur the battle lines in an attempt to get us to attack each other. We must remember who we are fighting and look to win in the long game, vice worrying about minor defeats or petty squabbles. When they attack and attempt to divide, it will be our signal to press harder because they are desperate and ready to break.

We won a victory last night because we got additional cuts out of the Senate and the White House. We didn't push as far inland as we planned, but we did increase our toehold to a foothold, while winning additional support without turning additional independent voters against us. We need to accept it, analyze it, and use it to prepare for the next big battle. We never know when a major breakout(breakthrough) is going to occur, so we have to be ready to pour in the troops of truth and sanity if it happens. If we never have a major breakout and only minor victories, then at least we are still in the fight and there is always hope in the next battle.

This does chap my butt because we should be whacking the Democrats over the head with this on a daily basis. Why are we seeking compromise with people that failed to do their duty? We should be calling them out and saying you could have taken care of this last year, but you didn't for strictly political reasons. The public is ready and willing to side with the Republicans against the Democrats, so keep hitting them with the consistent message that we will keep talking about your failure until you pass HR1. We will keep reminding the voters of why we don't have a budget already and who is to blame. Put the damn Democrats in the corner where they should be for not doing what was required of them. They could have passed their bloated budget if they had the stones, but they were afraid of what the voters would have done to them. The voters did it to them anyway and any further stalling isn't going to help them next year. We need to get this message out clearly and repeatedly until HR1 is adopted. The Democrats are to blame and they have only to look as far as Pelosi for the mess they find themselves in. Reid and Obama have no leg to stand on because they didn't force Pelosi to do her job last year. Why are we so easily letting them off the hook? The Tea Partiers should be on every news channel/blog/commentary broadcasting this fact and the Speaker should take every opportunity to remind the public why we are even talking about this in April, six months after the deadline.

It is time to take the civility gloves off and start naming names on the failure of government. If the Republicans want to impress me then roll back spending to either 2000 or 2006 and then cut it to balance the budget. Otherwise they are just making noise to get re-elected and have no real intention of fixing Washington. If the budget bill that Paul Ryan rolls out next week shows a turn in the long term spending then adopt it on day one in the House and let the Senate and President once again fail to do their duty. The public will be able to quickly see who is serious about fixing spending and who is not. Those who aren't will have their employment opportunities expanded for them in November 2012. This is incredibly easy, but the Republican leadership is making it far harder than it needs to be. They should have said that HR1 is there for approval and signature, fail to do your duty again and the government shuts down. You bet your ass that if a hard line would have been draw and the message properly packaged the people would have been behind the Speaker for fixing what the Democrats failed to do. The Republicans got the bill out, but then failed to bludgeon the Democrats with why they bill was even necessary. The Democrats actually successfully penalty killed the Republican power play because they were able to get compromise after compromise to the point the public has forgotten who's at fault for this mess. The Republicans need to put on their big boy pants and tell the Senate and the President that they either pass HR1 or the government shuts down. They need to remind the public who is at fault for America not having a budget and that all the Democrats need to do to stop the shut down is pass the bill. It is very simple and straight forward. The press will of course spin it that the Republicans are at fault, but that only keeps the Democrat failure in the press. We need to stay on the offensive. We blow our chance on the power play, but now is not the time to fall back but rather attack and attack again. Put the Democrats on the defensive for why they couldn't do their job. Next week is another opportunity to go on the power play, so learn from this past failure of leadership and score.

Some interesting thoughts, but they have to be tempered with the fact that there would still be coke and heroin to deal with. I am all for decriminalizing all drug use and even dispensing pot, like liquor. We would still have to severely punish dealers of coke and heroin. We don't need is to lock up junkies as criminals because that doesn't solve the problem and is a huge waste of time and money. I would prefer the Portugal method that decriminalizes use, but severely punishing dealers. How about one strike you out dealer limits? You empty the prisons of junkies and refill them with the dealers. If you are caught with any significant amount hard drugs, you are put away for good. It would make selling illegal drugs very unprofitable. You could then take the tax money from pot and use a big chunk for drug rehab. The drug arguement holds no water with me as long as alcohol is legal because you don't see people smoking pot and beating the crap out of their wife and kids, but every day some drunk bastard beats the crap out of his family. Here is a different side of the story and I can support this individual as he gets why the public is angry. I have a question for him though, do you need a union to handle the contracting with the city or could the city just put the standards of pay down on paper and then adhere to them. Or could they have what we have here in my town in AZ, where only the firefighters have a union, everyone else can get together and petition for changes to the pay scale that is in writing, which is meet and confer. I still don't see where people that work for the government have to have a union if everything is written down and open. If the police or firefighters want something more then they as a group without a union can submit a petition to the city for change. If they don't feel they got a fair shake, then this is America and everyone can vote with their feet. I know that if the town starts losing too many officers or firefighters then they would have to provide more benefits/pay. If you want to attract people you raise pay and benefits, if you can't afford high pay and benefits then you downsize to the point you can afford. This is pretty simple and it doesn't take unions to make the market work. If you are a professional police officer and there were no unions, you would be free to seek employment any where for the pay you feel you deserve. The unions prevent this because they artificially control the market and prevent mobility of labor. Americans should always have a choice and voters should always have the last word on government employees, not the unions.

They should be thanked for their dedication and sacrifice and be given every benefit of the doubt and when this crisis passes as it will they should be honored with great praise and parades for their heroic deeds. Since we are all still here and he calls of the end of the world as we know it are dying down because the brave people handling the nuclear plant crisis are finally seeing the light of day and some actually hope. The addition of a high power line to unit 2 and the working diesel covering units 5 & 6 sure is helping. The shooting of water into the crippled buildings of units 3 &4 are starting to have a positive affect. This is all pretty darn good news and another sign is that there is a lot less blathering idiots on MSM spreading disinformation over the last 24 hours. My biggest disappointment through this entire mess was the head of the NRC's testimony to Congress because he might has well just took a gun and opened fire on the Japanese. He didn't have all the facts and he exaggerated the information that he did have to scare the bee-jesus out of a lot of people unnecessarily.

I spent quite a bit of time on several sites gathering and disseminating the best information that could be found, plus with the help of a few friends (Vic & crosspatch) answering a lot of people's questions about how bad things really were and calming a lot of fears. It sickens me that three guys on a couple of blogs did a far better job of analyzing this situation then the MSM (not really unexpected) and the NRC Chairman. Is nuclear power the safest form of mass produced energy? It is pretty close when you look at industry deaths over the years from mining coal, drilling for oil, and operating nuke plants. I leave hydro, thermal, solar, and biomass out because I don't have good numbers on those and even hydro has some deaths. Can nuclear be safer? Yes, we can take what we learned from this incident and added to the lessons we learned from TMI and somewhat from Chernobyl and built better safer plants. The new AP1000 does not rely on diesels right away, so the crisis we have in Japan would never get this far using the new design and it wouldn't be compounded by H2 explosions.

We are standing at the edge of a new world with limited options moving forward and if America wants to survive as a nation then we have to secure our energy future. Failing to do that will prevent us from being able to do anything more than be a beggar nation asking others to buy our debt so we can house and feed our old people. We need energy to build stuff and when we build stuff we need people. When we put people to work that is when America works again as a Nation. Light up the phones, emails, and faxes to your Representatives and let them know America needs to pursuit an all of the above energy strategy and reform government spending. Those two issues alone should be on every American's lips now through the 2012 elections because failing to get a handle on both will prevent America from being a world leader and beacon of hope once again.

This is a pretty good explanation of what has happened and what to expect going forward. I have spent the last couple of days trying to spread reason and understanding. This is a very stressful situation for those poor operators and we need to keep them in our prayers. Their biggest hope is to get some sustained electrical power back on at the plant, so they can keep the long term cooling pumps running. The fuel oil contamination issue has hampered this over the last couple of days, so hopefully they can crack that nut soon. Feed and bleed of any reactor is bad, but if done in time then damage to the fuel can be limited or even prevented. As for the two reactors that have seawater injected into them, they are toast and they will never operate again. Using seawater is last on the list of options and now it is a matter of prevent further damage and releases.

Here in the States we are not currently in any danger and it is unlikely we will ever be so due to this situation. The Japanese government appears to be taking all the right precautions to protect their people, so we need to take a deep breath and know that we are okay. Not giant mushroom clouds or giant lizards are on our horizon.

Why I do not have Solidarity with the Public Unions

Here is a well reasoned article on why people are suddenly so anti-union. The unions and their Democrat lap dogs have failed to see the shifting landscape and they run the risk of disappearing all together for their failure. When the majority of Americans is trying to decided food or gas, it is extremely tough to find an ounce of sympathy for people making 100K plus a year off of tax money that We the People should would like to have in our pocket to make that food or gas decision. I think that this failure will lead to the end of government employee unions as we know them and with them the vast support of the Democratic political machine. The people are willing to share when things are going great and there is plenty, but when the walls crash down they are no longer willing to support luxury will scraping up a few dollars for gas. The average citizen is going to look a lot closer at all those sweetheart deals that the unions and Democrats have been dealing and going to say NO!

We need to cut all government spending and that includes all those wonderful support staffs at the local level and all those added positions that fill niche needs. We can't afford them any longer and we need to come to reality that we can barely afford the basics never minds the bells and whistles. Why is social security every American's retirement plan? It was never intended to be such, but rather a safety net for poor farm widows. Being human beings, we liked the idea that the almighty American government would take care of us and put our minds at rest over planning for the future. This was a delusion and asking too much from the politicians because with so much money and so much power they kept promising more and more. They couldn't help it because it kept getting them re-elected and the people never called them into account for all these false promises.

The chickens have come home to roost and the lies and the promises are being exposed. We never had the money to keep these promises and the federal government instead of protecting us has led us into slavery. We own $14 trillion in national debt and probably another $100 trillion in unfunded obligations in the form of SS and medicare. How is this going to work? We are going to have to go back to basics and cut huge amounts of government services to bring things back in line. We are going to have to start telling the truth that America is broke and we aren't going to be able to support everyone for the rest of their lives. If you have money and are retired then you shouldn't be drawing SS until your money runs out. I know there are those who don't have money and they need help, so they should be the ones getting it. I also know that millions have paid in and are still paying in with zero hope of any return, so we need to fix that as well.

We need to allow younger people to take the money that would have been funneled into the government pit and let them invest it in their 401k or IRA. That way they can be assured of having money in the future. Those of us in the middle should be able to chose to reduce our government contribution and put it in our 401k or IRA or stick with the government plan. This leaves all those that are too close or are in retirement to switch, we need to tighten distributions to those that are not hurting and budget to pay for those who are. We need to cut other government spending to keep America from going under and we need to stop providing health care and instead provide money for policies or supplements. There is a market solution to this problem and it is amazing how many smart companies came up with money making solutions to supplement Medicare and the drug benefit. People are going to get old and need care there is no doubt about that, but we should be helping them not by paying for it, but helping them find a plan and helping with the premiums.

We can't solve every body's problems if we no longer exists, so we are going to have to make some changes around Washington and as Chris Christie says the party is over and the money is gone. Hate to be the guy that has to finally tell everyone the truth, but either sacrifice a little now or lose it all.

I said this at the time when I questioned the so called oil crisis that had absolutely no reason and the housing crisis that suddenly followed all in short order. There are dark and malevolent forces at work namely the media and the Democrats. It is funny how press leaks by prominent Democrats always seem to precede major meltdowns. The American public can be spooked, which leads to a heard mentality. The Democrats claim that the Republicans do this all the time with national security, but the real bogeyman is the Democrats and financial security. Amazing how long did Frank say all was well until they needed the crisis to get their man elected, then suddenly the sky was falling the whole world was going down in flames. This same mentality spread to everything that happened in the Democrat controlled Congress in the fall of 2008. Bush and the Republicans should have doused that BS with facts and showed how the market would correct itself if giving the opportunity, but as we all know that the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the media drowned out all reason. The media created the oil crisis of the summer that there was zero reason for and they saw a prime opportunity in the fall to get the Joker elected and they seized on it. An informed public should not have fallen for such crap, but America is not an informed public. A vast majority of Americans still believed in the MSM because they grow up on it with its truth and the American way, but they failed to see the shift to self serving propaganda machine that it had become since 2004. Today, a lot of Americans are still taken in by the MSM and its agenda, but with the advent of blogosphere there is another outlet for the truth. The funny thing is that the blogosphere is getting it right far sooner than the traditional media, which is having a positive effect on the overall narrative in this country. Are we out of the woods yet on manipulation by the media, hell no! We are getting better and the internet is preventing the one-sided BS avalanche that caused the Joker to get elected. We know must stay vigilant as we head into the next election cycle because the MSM underestimate the power of the people in 2010, but we won't be so lucky in 2012 as we try to dethrone the Joker.

Here is an interesting idea, use what we have to stop sending money overseas and put Americans to work. This of course is crazy talk because heaven forbid that we would do anything that would possibly harm the precious environment in any possible way or endanger little fishies or owls. America was great when we used to dig coal and iron ore out of the ground and make stuff with it. Now that we are not allowed to do those things we have been in a steady decline. I am not saying rape the wilderness and leave giant acid pools in the wake, but lets start getting real and start using what God gave us to extract ourselves from this mess we are in. We have vast reserves of coal, gas, oil, timber, and hundreds of other products that we could be using to our and future generations benefit, but refuse to even attempt because the costs are just to high and success rates just too low because of the environmentalist and their lawsuits. We have come a long way and made huge strides in clean air, clean water, and reclamation, so why can't we open up more fields to utilization. Yes, we have to strike a balance, but lets start moving it away from absolute no utilization to responsible utilization. Lets look for good solutions to the negative effects of burning coal and minimize them, look for ways to minimize the damage caused by mining and drilling., but also start doing these things again to get America moving in the right direction. Otherwise the only alternative is to become slaves to those countries that don't give a crap and are willing to sell us the stuff regardless of the harmful effects on the planet. We can't control the bad things that happen in Iraq, Iran, or China, so isn't it better for the environment that we extract our energy sources here in America where we can limit the damage to the planet. America could and should lead the way on doing it better vice just giving up which has been the greenie mantra for decades. Just think if we had a 100 more nuclear plants today, we would have lots of clean energy to power electric vehicles and be using a lot less gas. Until recently the greenies have been totally opposed, but they are finally pulling their heads out and seeing how much better off we are using nuclear power. We need to invest in our future and do the things that we ensure we have energy for the future and do it in a smart manner, but DO IT!

I guess I fell for the media bias and failed in my due diligence in regards to Gov. Daniels position on the fleebaggers in his own state. I really like the guy, but he needs some serious help keeping his foot out of his mouth. This latest incident added to the truce talk, just doesn't make the points he needs to make to win the nomination, never mind the presidency. He needs a clear and focused message with concrete actions that he intends to take to resolve the nations problems. He needs to focus on one subject at a time, which would have saved us from this latest incident. If he would have said that he was upset with the fleebaggers and wanted them to return as one complete thought before moving onto the protesters then there would have been zero to report or twist. Here is how is should have gone, those legislators that have fled from their sworn duty are wrong and they need to return to work. I do admire the democratic process where every American has an opportunity to peaceably protest the actions of their government without threat of violence. I will not abide by violence on either side and hopefully we will be able to bring this problem to a resolution that is acceptable to the people of Indiana.

I guess my general disappointment in Gov. Daniels is that if he intends to help save this country from itself then he needs to step up his game and make clear and concise points of matters of the day or else he is going to suffer the Palin treatment of being too dumb to make an acceptable President. Which we all know is impossible since the Joker has now set an extremely low bar on what it takes to be President. Daniels needs to team up with someone that brings fire and passion to the fight (Cain) and start working out a solid plan to fix the mess. Endorse the Road Map, set forth a plan for tax reform, and start using that 100 lb brain for more than a hat rack. The American people are ready for an adult and this guy is an adult but they are not ready for a bumbling idiot that can be seen as lucking into the right place at the right time. Daniels needs to start hitting them with the wonk and no letting up until every American understands that we are headed in to the crapper unless we do something now. Force the Joker to defend his spendthrift ways with hard facts, show how reduced government spending and regulation actually stimulates the economy, not blowing money we don't have on wasteful government projects. Show how lowing corporate taxes brings jobs in, instead of driving them away like we have for decades.

I was rash to judge Mitch so quickly, but I am sick and tired of weak willed or the appearance of weakness from a Republican "top tier" candidate. These guys need to grow some stones and stop worrying about the media, but since they can't be avoided be prepared with facts and clear and concise answers. Mitch, it is time to get your crap in a sock and start acting like someone the people can trust to be the next president and not a back tracking unsure of what to say pansy. The people will respect you more if you are straight forward with the truth even if it hurts then if you constantly make your supporters have to guess what you were trying to say. Get a platform, get some coaching, and get in the damn game.

It is a shame that he has not stomach for a good fight, so he is now off the list as a possible candidate. He might make the VP ranks, but he is not Presidential material for sure. I liked the idea of a guy that could get spending under control, but this guy isn't willing to fight which is a skill set that the next President is definitely going to need. The next President is going to have to be tough and fight the elites every step of the way to put the federal government back in its box. I still like Cain and Christie, but the rest of the field is pretty much a lost cause. Some one rescue us from the Republican waking undead! We need a leader with backbone and a set of stones that will do the heavy lifting of turning this country around. I am not exactly sure about Christie, but Cain seems to be on track. Cain's biggest problem is that he isn't well known and though he is showing up in all the right places and saying all the right things, only a handful of Americans have even heard his name. It is a weak field and there just doesn't seem to be anyone that the majority of Americans can rally behind (don't even say Palin because she can't get even a majority of Republicans never mind all Americans), so as Beebs says get ready for four more years of the Joker. The only thing that could derail the Joker's second term is $5 gas, which is very likely at this point, so we have a glimmer of hope if we can only find a candidate.

A novel idea to let the system work as intended and not burden the tax payers with the criminal management of these two entities. Our government needs to shed itself of the things that it has no place being involved in and focusing on the things that it should be doing like fixing the tax structure and cutting huge amount of spending and figuring out how to fix entitlements so they are not government run any longer. I have come to the end of my rope on the Washington BS and it is now time to actually start fix this damn mess.

Some interesting thoughts on health care reform and how to fix the health insurance industry. The funny thing is that the health insurance industry has very little incentive to fix things because they are making lots and lots of money. They stand to make even more money when millions of young people are forced by the government to buy insurance, while giving up pre-existing conditions which is backed by government. This whole debate has been in their favor and who can blame them for raking in the dough falling from our pockets, they are in business to make money.

If we want true reform then lets have tort reform today, why wait! Lets have interstate insurance policies, again why wait! The only reason to wait is for political gain, which is complete and utter BS. Repeal Obamacare, but there is no reason that while that fight is ongoing not to do the two other things that would actually make a difference in us the ones being fleeced. I know if we actually did something, Obama would take the credit and it would almost assure him of re-election, which is no damn excuse for playing politics but rather a sad commentary on the state of our country. I understand that Congress doesn't want to give him another feather for his cap, so he can go about crowing about his tax cuts or his reforms.

I am going to say something blasphemous, who the hell cares! Fix the damn system, so we the taxpayers get to worry less. Help us not have to decided health care or food or gas. The country is in the crapper and now is not the time to worry about who gets the credit for fixing it. If the criminals in Washington what to impress me then they need to help us by doing the things that will actually make a difference in our lives. Reform the tax structure. Fix rising health care costs. Do something to reduce the deficit and the National Debt. Roll back or eliminate regulations that prevent us from creating more jobs or becoming energy independent. Hell lets use our resources to power our country back to greatness and make America the greatest place on Earth to do business. Lower the corporate tax, if Canada can do it even with socialized medicine then we should be able to as well.

We need to grow up and start acting like adults. It really doesn't matter who gets the credit if we actually fix this country because there will be credit to go around, the Tea Party, Republicans in the House, the nearly even Senate, and the President. If the goal is to have control of everything then let the country fall farther in the crapper, just so we can go back to those wonderful spendthrift days of Bush. Otherwise, lets force Washington to do what is right and fix the damn mess they created now, vice kicking it down the road. I don't care if it is a Democrat or a Republican that fixes the mess as long as the mess is fixed.

There are a lot of ideas floating around out there, so why not adopt and few and get things rolling in the right directions, vice wasting our time about how it doesn't do enough or who gets the damn credit. The voters are pissed at both parties and they should damn well know it and we are going to toss them out on their collective asses if they don't start doing something to fix this country NOW!

What a wonderful take on what the Founding Fathers thought about the 2nd Amendment. I have already commented at the site, but I will repeat it here as well. I believe in a fully armed public and every (sane) American adult should own two weapons, a handgun for personal defense and a rifle for home and property defense. They should be fully trained to use both and their safe handling. This works in Israel and Switzerland because of mandatory military service, but would be extremely useful here. I believe strongly petty crime ends when the consequences are a high likelihood of death. It would also end home invasions and with biometric triggering the guns would be useless for anyone by the owner. This would also be useful in defending against all enemies foreign and domestic because I highly doubt that most of them would be stupid enough to take on a fully armed and trained populace (militia) as the Founding Fathers intended. I know that there are those out there that believe all guns are bad and what happened in Tucson only proves the point, but my counter is what would have happened if everyone there would have been carrying and saw this butt nugget shoot the Congresswoman? I think we would not be having a trial right now because deadly force would have been authorized and I for one would have gladly put that mutt down before he hurt and killed so many people. Let's hear what you all think about this.

This guy has some interesting ideas about this issue and I frankly like them. You can't keep telling a little kid that there are going to be consequences for bad behavior and never actually enforce them. This is the same with politicians, if you keep saying spending our money like it is water is unacceptable, but never do anything about it they will keep doing what they have been doing. If we finally slam on the brakes and bust a few heads, then the rest of the morons will quickly fall into line. The American public has been scream for the politicians to stop and even threw a bunch out of office, but a lot of the remaining ones just still don't get it. So, when they vote to raise the limit, we take their names and find someone to start running against them immediately in their primary or an opposition candidate. There are millions of of people with a few dollars to spend on a campaign to rid us of the career criminals in Washington (see Allen West's campaign).

We can no longer sit by and let these criminals steal our children's futures just so they can avoid the hard issues. They only worry about getting re-elected, so make it painfully obvious to each and everyone of them if they vote to raise the ceiling they are in for the fight of their lives. We can't keep going along to get along any longer. We must punish the guilty and behavior will change. Actions have consequences and negative actions should have very negative consequences to change behavior. We need to keep the phones and faxes pouring in to our representatives, so they know we are serious and we also need to start looking for replacements.

Here is an interesting take on the President's "Sputnik Moment". I agree that as long as we keep spreading the money far and wide or school systems will continue to fail because we are looking to raise all boats 1% vice a focused approach which would propel a much smaller group to higher heights. I know this sound bad, but it is true. If you divide the billions of dollars across all children then you might see minimal improvement, but target it to the kids that have already shown the ability to learn and then you might help produce a couple of super 100lb brains that might get us out of the mess we are in. I am not saying throw the rest of the kids to the wolves, but rather let's focus some much needed attention on the best and brightest.

I also think that we need to have other avenues available for kids that don't learn as well in a book environment, such as trade schools with hands on learning. We have tons of electronic equipment that must be maintained and even updated, so why not train people to meet this need or advanced auto repair for the new car types or child care. Or any number of sorely lacking professions that don't require a college education, but need some training to do them well. Why keep pouring money down rat holes to raise test scores when there are people who would be happier and give back to society in far more productive ways if they were provided hands on training, vice daily bludgeoning with books.

Funny that he should bring this up considering the current set of polls on Townhall and over on Ace's site. It seems the only group that is fired up are the Palin devotees and I am beginning to think why the hell not throw her up against the Joker. It isn't likely to matter any way and it would make for great entertainment.

I personally think a Daniels/Cain ticket is what this country needs to pull its collective head out of its butt. We need adults that know how to turn things around and fix government, but instead we are going to have the same old high school senior class president elections. Obama is still the cool kid and he will triangulate his way to a second term because the economy is probably going to be doing better thanks to the Republicans in the House. This means regardless of who runs on the Republican ticket, the Obama loving independent voters are likely to swing behind their original choice of savior. They are not likely to throw Obama overboard unless their jobs are threatened or inflation is out of control.

The MSM will hide or minimize any major issues until after the election, so there won't be any sudden economic crisis to derail the Joker. This leaves us with an election of star power and cult personalities, which Palin and the Joker both have. The problem for Palin is that those pesky independents are not in her camp now and are not likely to change sides unless there really is no choice, but if the economy is that bad then they will be looking for an adult not a reality TV star to lead them.

America gets what it deserves when it comes to leadership, you treat the Office of President so lightly that you elect an empty suit to the job then you suffer the consequences. If you elect a rootness tootness gun slinger west of the Pecos, you get what you deserve. But if you want an adult to lead this country back to greatness, you find someone that is solid in their beliefs and paid their dues of hard work. You find somebody that has already done the heavy lifting as a governor or CEO. Elections based on looks is so high school and beneath the leader of the free world position (notice how no one uses that title for the Joker). I love Palin for the pure entertainment value, but she is not what this country and the world needs right now. We need a serious, maybe even boring, adult to lead this country back to greatness. We need someone with a proven track record of success and out of the current choices that would be Daniels/Cain.

In 2016 there should be an excellent crop of seasoned candidates that are truly ready to lead. So in 2012, we should focus our energies on winning the Senate and building on the gains in the House. Hell let Palin square off against the Joker, it would be very entertaining. It would also allow the rabid Palin supporters to see that she is much better suited to bringing in the cash and attention to the issues with her tweets.

Lets remember that the world and America both do best when there is an adult in charge of the the White House and that has happened for nearly 30 years. Reagan was wise and a grisly veteran of numerous campaigns and served honorably for a full term as governor before becoming President, but with Palin you get a VP candidate, that served a half term as governor, and now has become a reality TV star. So unlike Reagan, she is heading backwards through his career progression.

It just doesn't make sense, but what does in these days, so Palin for President 2012!

Wow, what a good day for articles. I love the part about abused wives because as a voter I sure feel abused by the career criminals in Washington. We must force the parties to put forth acceptable candidates that believe in helping this country. I don't care if they are red, blue, or turquoise as long as they actually go to Washington and fix this mess. We can't keep choosing between the same old hacks and expect different results. As I look at the Presidential primary field there a lot of party hacks that think it is their time, but in actuality I pray the come to their senses and drop out leaving the adults to attend to the important matters of the day. Chris Christie has a wonderful video of him telling the people how it is and the people are eating it up. I know it sucks to be a policeman that only gets a 2% raise, but would they rather be on of the 145 newly unemployed policemen? Christie told it to them straight that the politicians lied and the party is over, so either you sacrifice a little or lose it all. We need Christie to tour the country raising awareness of the sad truth about the situation this country is in and how we can fix it. Hey, that would be a campaign tour right? We need to grow up and start acting like adults.
