Love Thy Neighbor?
Lovely story, it shows how mean we fiscal conservatives are that we expect people to be responsible for their own actions and live within their means. This idea extends to our view of government as well. I willing give to charity each month to support widows and orphans, but I find it repellent that the government sticks a gun to my head and says that if have to provide huge chucks of my paycheck to those who won't do for themselves because it is easier not to. We are at a tipping point in this country that is forcing the people into two categories the givers and the takers.
The big misstep of the government is that now the takers are basically getting what the givers get from busting their butts everyday and in America that is causing a whole bunch of angry people in the middle because they are good solid working people seeing their hard earn dollars being wasted on those who won't. This is critical because these people are not limited by party affiliation and they are not going to take the BS much longer. They don't want to see this country go the way of Greece because of the takers and their elite benefactors in Washington. It could get real ugly real soon.
